These copyright laws are such a joke! Typical of nowadays germany. Nothing is working anymore, except you run an army of lawyers and "cash-into" the local government. Its such a joke, rly.

Electricity from wind is nice, but on the other hand there are mass layoffs in the fossil fuel industry, like siemens and general electric owned plants in germany are shutting down. Whole cities, like Görlitz, are drowning now. The nuclear industry was butchered, too.
All in all, the EEG is causing massive losses to germany and the environment (dont forget the outsourced damage to nature in china inflicted by solar panel production!).
Deutschland has the highest CO2 emissions of all times and the highest cost of electricity of all times now. This is a severe warning to the world! Never use a socialist approach!
it is pretty bad. People have to take those jobs or be unemployed and get so called sanctions (=less money) by the unemployment office.
There is no general labour shortage in germany right now. 2 million foreigners are getting unemployment payments right now, which is ~1.000 Euros per month (housing included). In addition, 7 million german people are out of work.
All in all i guess we have ~10 million people waiting in lines for more work or work at all.
I dont blame them. Wages in Germany are far to low.
"And frankly so, Germany doesn't have an opioid problem."
You are very uninformed obviously. As far as i know for my town, Paderborn (NRW), we have about 1.000 people receiving opioid replacement drugs under government supervision (~90.000 city population).
I like the low cost idea and approach. rly neat!
I had about ~250 tabs and i closed them now. Bookmarked before. This "feature" of FF is rly cucking. I have tons of GB written to my SSD without any benefit (i not a "safety critical user"). And the worst thing is, all of this data was written into 40 GB of SSD space.
this session restore feature, lets just save the urls in a list. that data structure cant be GB of GB right! ;) I think thats enough for the, lets say, typical FF user.
Now, that i know about this issue, i will bring down my tab usage to no more than 10 tabs.
Well, i will never buy one of those. Thats for sure.
"SanDisk's 1TB SD card has more storage than your laptop".
It does not. Just saying.
Now thats an amazing truck! Love it!
Dont say "saving the planet". The planet will be here for a long (long) time. No matter how hot or cold it ll be.
All these agreements are worthless. The question is, will there be a technology that prevents earth from heating up from burning fossil fuels.
Seems to be divided by geography. Germany is culturally a nordic country. Which makes it northern europe, not central or west.
...this shows what kind of hellhole the usa has become. even in a city near or in silicon valley, well armed criminals roam the streets...pp are "measuring" their heart with sensors while being robbed and tell the internet about this. a "sane" society?
I dont know about that. Dont risk to much depending on your individual situation. Sometimes its better to be the king of the beggars, than to be the beggar of the kings.
(improvement is always welcome, but be careful flipping corporations)
I propose to study technical literature. Study advanced books at a university library. If what is written inside is new to yourself AND you consider yourself an expert, you are in the expert-beginner pit.
"In most Professional positions I have held, maybe 1 in 50 people programmed outside of work and maybe 1 in 20 chose to learn beyond the minimum required to get by."
Double signed. Barely anyone is using his free time to learn more than needed at the workplace (which means the employees are stuck at the "minimum knowledge level"). And this is not just true for the IT branch.
I like this article. I think im somewhere between the "competente" and "proficient" level learning and working with C++ and CUDA/C. As long as you dont consider yourself "an expert", you`re good. Experts are rly rare and otherwise you are most likely an expert-beginner stuck in the dead-end of the fork.
Two things i may add:
1.) I think the only way out (beside getting help from others) of the expert-beginner dead-end is through gaining more knowledge, instead of gaining more experience.
2.) In applications, theres a massive, i call it "invasion" of "experts", just because everyone is claiming to be an "expert", not to be sorted out by HR. HR is most likely not a domain specialist in programming stuff. Now, given you state in your CV, you are "proficient", but an "expert-beginner" states "hes an expert", your kicked out of the interview stage. What a mess!
I think from this draft, its quite hard to imagine how successfull diablo would become. It looks solid, but no revolution. The real magic of diablo is artwork, in music and design, the stories and chars. still amazing in 2016!
Blitzkrieg is like "a war being done quick" or "a war which wont last long and to be ended quick".
I think the key is the understanding of "Blitz", which is associated with things like "fast" "hitting hard" "dangerous" "powerfull" "in a short amount of time" "to release a high amount of energy in a short amount of time" (and so on).
All of these words, formed like a tag cloud, are meshed into the the idea "Blitz" added to the german word for war ("Krieg").
If i think about the german language, its all about abstraction (and precision).
Waldläufer Himmelstürmer Götterdämmerung Doppelgänger Landstreicher Faulpelz Südseeplantagenbesitzer feine Pinkel Großkopferten Arschgeweih;
there could be hundred of those, invented, changed and transported through the centuries.
Hell, its about time!
I think this is a good guess. 280 GPUs in a single Desktop. It will take at least 10 years.
Perhaps longer given the restrictions (and huge problems) in further down scaling of the known silicon technology. GPUs are now at 28nm and the newest Intel CPUs on 14nm.
I dont know if AlphaGo is "beyond" all human players.
Given AlphaGo has learned all played games from a database, its more like AlphaGo is the essence or the sum of all experience gained from those games played. AlphaGo is better than every player (perhaps), but it has not pushed the game further by itself.
This hardware setup is crazy. Given alone 280 GPUs is insane.
He said with the same conditions, his chances are 40:60 in favor of him winning.
Obviously the chances for humans to win, increase with the board size.
Given the computational power (=number of cpu/gpu) is fixed and the time for each move to be done is fixed.
Perhaps a future "dr. evil / skynet" A.I. will first try to conquer the microchip production plants to increase its computational power and memory. goodbye taiwan, goodbye south korea, goodbye usa...
I think cash was the wrong decision. BH resembles the US economy. Nothing wrong with that.
please someone send a link of this comment section to warren buffet that he can "figure out" why his IBM shares are down 2 billion dollars...
What i realised is, that the millennial generation (im gen y) has spawned a yolo (you only live once) or better to say, yoln (you only live now) attitude. They dont have much hope in their future, so they tend to live now. Not tomorrow. They dont safe money, they spend money, they max out their borrowing, they max out consumption. From their perspective, its perfectly logic to do so. And even some of my old friends, the kids from the 80s, have started to live with the "yoln" live style.
Here in Germany we have pp who retired in their 50s. Like 55 or so. Today they collect fine wines from all over the world and tell young pp "to work harder"(i know some of them)....no comment.
