I have a portforward on my home router and simply ssh in to my always on desktop. This is also useful for not having to keep sensitive documents on a device I may lose while out and about.

This is most evident in any post that mentions cryptocurrency or anything in anyway related.
I'm Irish, there still exists a lot of pride for potatoes here. I have a small allotment here as part of a communal garden and each spring there is probably more excitement about the potatoes crops than any other. People want to know what types you are planting, how early to put them down, tips for managing damage from a late frost etc. Not to mention it really is a productive crop and really can last all winter when stored correctly and you can be self sufficient for "spuds" from a relatively small sized plot.
I find myself asking this question, what causes more net harm, the social impact of people abusing cocaine and associated problems or the damage caused by cocaine being high lucrative while illegal and the war on drugs.
This is actually considered best practice now for content for public consumption. If you can lower the average reading age for understanding the content you increase the amount of people that can read it.
Funny in Ireland I find tech salaries quite generous with 80k+ easily achievable for someone with 5+ years experience and 6 figures being the norm for a senior worth his salt.
I would argue its second most popular feature is purchases on dark net markets. This has been a constant theme since bitcoin was first released and I think is always discounted when talking about the currency.
The complete list of codes can be found in the github repo containing the schema for the qrcode data https://github.com/ehn-dcc-development/ehn-dcc-schema/tree/r...
That is a really hard to achieve definition of useful.
Fairly typical old man Dublin accent, I had a good chuckle listening to his stories.
Run the application locally in a terminal and just use pdb normally. To do it to an application running in a container is slightly more involved but still possible.
Off topic but why would a corporate company use a website for their blog which puts articles behind a paywall? It seems completely at odds with the purpose of a corporate blog.
Probably not the answer you want to hear but the best office chair is no chair. I only have a standing desk at home and my back/legs are so much better after 3 weeks of WFH than they have ever been.
I've done this, although in my cold climate it took months to throw out a root. Give it time.
I'm not sure about django but flasks Application object has a before_first_request method which takes a function designed to do this type of initialization operations.
Genuine question, if usernames are unique what is the problem with using them as the primary key of the table instead of an arbitrary value from a sequence, you also get the bonus of not needing a unique constraint on the username column.
I know the most people on here have a terrible opinion of bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general but I think a lot of the criticism based on energy usage and transactions per second is in bad faith. When you consider layers built on top of bitcoin (lightning network) this argument holds a lot less weight.
This doesn't look to take commands after a pipe into account so IMHO doesn't accurately reflect command usage. For example running above I was surprised awk wasn't in the list but when I went to investigate I found I almost always am piping something to awk.
Sounds good in theory but would be interesting to know how prevalent cloud cover is in the city.
I have also asked this, I can't understand why my managers always think its a joke idea.
This may not work but could be worth a shot and lots of fun. Buy a RC airplane and learn to fly it, nothing crazy but not something to cheap either ($200 from a Chinese site). This should give you a much bigger appreciation for flying (it did for me) and make you very excited the next time you are flying.
It does say the bot tries to secure the device and then resorts to bricking it if it can't. Not condoning the janitors actions but at least bricking isn't his first action.
I can't agree with you. The sheer fact that I know well what the reddit error page is refutes this. In fact it's one of the few sites I frequent that I know even have an error page.
Sure in a perfect scenario with a well behaving load test client. In production you often encounter scenarios which place unexpected load on your servers.
I agree, but if you do fail it means you are doing something right. In most cases I think YAGNI suffices for how much engineering to do.
Good question and something I am trying to do as well at the moment (web dev last few years so I do know some coding Python/PHP/JS).
My own method has been war gaming sites like pwnable.kr, learning C, getting better at bash, bug bounty programs, playing with security tools (bettercap, sqlmap, metasploit) and eventually I would like to get OSCP certification.
Would love to hear from people experienced in the profession if there is anything I am missing or any pointers they could offer me.
If you need it to be really simple django and customising the admin. Have done this for a simple ticketing system and had something surprisingly stable in about 8 hours work.
This. On a more local scale (EU) medical tourism is huge. I know of many family members travelling a short distance to avail of much cheaper dental work abroad. In fact I am surprised this isn't advertised more.
Same for me and apparently many others in this post. Can hear fine with a single source of sound, little noises in distant rooms etc but put me in a noisy bar and I can't make out a thing.
As someone who is looking for a new role at the moment and absolutely hates the standard interview process I would definitely apply for a role at any company that had this process.
