They made some good decisions aswell in the recent past, looking at their firewall configuration features (made it zone based).. All in all their eco system is worth it imo and the hardware is actually affordable. On the other hand I had some mikrotik gear in the past which was also really good, the user interface is just not as shiny ;-)

I would pay that 130€ / year if I was alone. I have to be responsible with the money I earn as I have to feed 3 kids and my wife is not working. We also use other different streaming services like netflix, spotify family... adding youtube premium seems not reasonable for me at the moment.

Having to pay for something so that's "less annoying" is the worst business model. YouTube Premium is very expensive. I had it for a while when I got a Pixel smartphone with a few months of YouTube Premium included. It was great. I also understand that streaming on this scale must entail incredibly high operating costs; the money has to come from somewhere. It's simply a dilemma. But there has to be a better way. Any ideas?

I disagree. AI is good at pattern recognition, but still struggles to grasp causual relationships. These Made-up api calls are just a pattern in the large data set. Dont confuse it with creativity.

AI didn't kill creativity nor intuition. It much rather lack's those things completely. Artists can make use of AI but they can't make themselves obsolete just yet.

It was the most humongous deal if we talk about IT security. SQL injection shouldn't be a thing in today's IT landscapes. And here we are giving everyone and their mother admin access to a database where the attackers can literally get not only on a plane but also in the fucking Cockpit. So yes, big big deal.

"[...] far more prone to incompatibilities with users WiFi configurations [...]" <- Exactly this! With my Unifi gear, all the configurations that had to be tried out and tested were driving me crazy. From Multicast Filtering (IGMP Snooping), Multicast Enhancment (IGMPv3), Broadcast Contols, mDNS to even the fucking Spanning Tree Protocol on the Switches (STP vs RSTP). How is this plug and play? How are other users even getting anything to work when it comes to multi room and speakers being on seperate APs?!

When the countdown reaches zero, it displays the message "That's it."

I have to disagree with the "2 to 6 people" - even for small projects I feel like 4-6 people is great. This way you can ensure that everyone has a “tandem” and e.g. It's not just a frontend developer doing some mischief that someone has to clean up afterwards :D

I also wouldn't download this in 1000 years with no additional information and sourcecode / github etc...

I work for a large German company and some of our suppliers and business partners have had a fax machine for a long time that they used exclusively for our purposes.

Fortunately, these times are over, and the company has celebrated the long overdue abolition of the fax machine ;-)

With "Perfectly ok" I think the commenter meant that the German Politics contradicts itself with its decisions, e.g. We want to become “greener” aka climate neutral in the long term and at the same time we are reopening coal-fired power plants because we need the energy in the short term.

Yes, it also states: "[...] We should also remember that 85-90% of the most powerful cyber-threat intelligence lies in the hands of those other than the United States government, which brings me to a final point about partnerships: Not one of our past—or future—disruptions is possible without exceptional partnerships [...]."

I didn't expect so much honesty, I would have expected "We and only we are the greatest and best".
