This feature is called Android Custom Tabs and it is supported by most browsers on Android afaik. I use Firefox for this purpose, but it is possible that certain Google apps always use Chrome for this, not entirely sure.
Why would he try to sound more latin when the word octopus does come from ancient greek? I think that's the cause for this common error. People assuming a word is latin just because it ends in '-us'.
I have been living in Germany my whole life and cannot, for the life of me, understand your viewpoint. Never felt unsafe in Germany or had the feeling that our 'western values will be eradicated' (which sounds like right wing fearmongering to me tbh).

Even system apps can be updated through the Playstore though.
My app shows me that I have 99 years of Pocket Casts Plus remaining. I did buy the app on Android aswell as the web version. Did anybody else get this many years?
