Here is one scenario that I see happening - "I leave my $2500 apartment in NYC and I put my freelance developer job in my carry-on. I buy my flights and pay rent for a year at The Roam. I want 2 months in Bali, 4 months in Japan and 6 months Miami." I am taken care of and I don't have to worry about searching for the right location or meeting the right people. It seems pretty good to me.

$1600 will get you a room in more than 10 locations by the end of the year, that's where the real value is. I am actually staying the the Ubud location at the moment. It's very well done, the community is great and location is just right. This is not something you can find on Airbnb.

That's a great list but it's really hard to distinguish between fully nomadic (Buffer is the perfect example) and companies that hire many workers remotely. I think most of the listed companies hire remotely (ex. Trello) and have big distributed teams.

I am hugely interested in more examples like Buffer.

Good economy is not always the case. It's due to the fact that emerging economies are not performing that well and also the Fed is looking to increase the interest rates for the first time in 7 years.

Sure, it's not just the Euro actually. The dollar and the British pound are strong against almost all currencies now.

A turning point in a company's history has to come with rebranding. Otherwise the message won't be as strong. The emotional attachment will fade away with time I am sure. I will miss the logo as well.

Bear in mind that though the sources are extremely credible, people in the likes of Matt Cutts and Larry Page are not going to give it all out to you. The key of cracking SEO in my opinion is to play by these rules but also be able find the point where you can slip through the cracks and push it just enough. You need to be able to judge the "probably" and "likely" your own way and make educated guess about the outcome of your strategy. In a way, this makes the game more interesting because there is no longer a blue print that everybody can just follow to rank.

After college in America, I went to study in Sweden where education is free. So if money is an issue you can just look outside your comfort zone and try a new studying in a new country. Problem solved.

It took Whatsupp at least 6-7 years to get on the map in USA I would say.
