Did Meta release any info on what happened yesterday? Now LinkedIn? Hope we are not setting some new trend here.

Applied and never heard back...
I love the simple design, I feel this may be what I'm after, will give it a shot! Thank you!
I love the simplicity of the blog layout - is this open source I'd love to setup my blog to look similar!
Have a look at bigger more established institutions. There are still some out there who have programs to re-skill people (especially from STEM degrees) into engineering. Mostly financial institutions.
What they usually do is hire you at a grad level, and put you in a bootcamp for couple of months.
startup needed to pivot after 6 months, back to job market, no hard feelings though as I understood the risks before joining
“The world we operate in has changed”
Ugh another leader with their "resource allocation".
I think it's way to early to state these conclusions.
Why are the majority of these layoffs around the 10% mark?
no we are getting layoff, anyone who thought they were to be promoted is oppressed to feel "lucky" if they don't get redundancy.
we had a layoff in my company announced today (UK based), it will be weeks before I know if I'm impacted
If I decided to jump ship now and join a financial company in which I can guarantee quick offer due to networking I feel I'm risking exactly that.
It feels like a wave, if you jump to another industry you may risk to catch the wave when it comes. Specifically financial seems to just start now?
I really like to know what software is used to create this blog post, the navigation is so good.
that business language though
wait... that wasn't an april fools joke?
Mindless scrolling.
I guess we have to wait for the full list. There was a map with names from other countries than the 56ish shortlisted.
So where do we find the list of names by country?
Hey first of all thank you so much for spending the time to answer this.
Some things to clarify, which are not clear from my question.
I'm not trying to push her into programming, but rather trying to understand what a some of the possible career paths for someone with PhD&Masters degree in this area that would also have decent pay.
I see how demotivation for someone who spent so many years and obtained multiple degrees would be to see their pay being 1/2 or less compared to bachelors in CS.
So my initial, gut feeling if you will, was that that with the possibility of Genomic technology sector being the next "tech", highly paid sector - then having someone with PhD in the science part and also some programming knowledge could put her in a good career trajectory.
Of course I may be wrong, so I wanted to explore if someone with similar background pivoted into programming and how that went.
It has to look professional for sure. But the UI won't have anything fancy, only some line charts and few forms.
What about the expiry dates on all of the medication/food. You cannot just buy stuff in bulk and let it sit for 20 years waiting for the right time to use it.
I guess for food you can just use it as you go and just refill what you used occasionally and keeping high levels of supply. But for medication I don't see other option than throwing it away when it expires?
How is it legal to not be able to delete YouTube app anymore, I have the same problem on OnePlus. That doesn't seem right...
The problem is - I have an Android phone, and it doesn't look like you have the option to delete the YouTube app from it. I went to Google Play and tab uninstall, just to find the app again in my list of apps. I don't know how this could be legal to be honest.
