The future IMO is recursive meta learning. This far the max recursion depth afaik has been 1, and that's just a first step.

Also, SeLUs were supposed to be game changing. Are they, or why are they not? Why haven't they been used more? Or what's still missing?

More paywalled garbage. Yes, NYT is paywalled after a certain low number of free articles.

Instead of drugs, I think we could ban fried chicken and watermelon exceeding a diameter of three inches. It would be more effective for the goals the government has in mind. Fried chicken is well, fried, and a large watermelon can be used to hit someone and cause head injury.

I have worked 18 hour days doing software development and the costs this has on health aren't realized until later, at which point the damage can sometimes be irreversible. The workers are too naive to realize it in time.

Well I certainly won't post it here on this terrible HN forum where people downvoted my post because it's an idea that they are not used to.

This can only last a short while. In time you would have sufficiently damaged their health and wellbeing that they will stop it and curse you for it. But what do you care.

This is why I take a hundred pills a day and continue making one change a week to this regimen. I still optimize my diet though.

FWIW, I consider the present state of such powders to be highly deficient, but I do believe that in time and in theory they could serve as a permanent replacement for food. At minimum, the current deficiencies have to do with phytonutrients and various fibers.
