Yes, that's what bothers me. OLED was the newfangled improved technology, but I'd rather hold out until something better becomes affordable.

They were second hand, idk. They were already burned when they arrived. Suffices for me to say I don't have much confidence in OLED.

3 out of 4 OLED screens in my household suffer from burned pixels. It's the early 90s all over again with OLED.

I had a TCL TV unrelated to the programming language, and the ghosting was awful.

I use those scripts to improve the likelyhood it'll fail to do anything useful.

I even used uname as a fuzzing tool, and that broke builds spectacularly. There's now a more reasonable uname in the sandbox for builds.

And it's not like MS is too poor to do anything useful for their customers. They just don't want to unless the cost-benefit analysis pans out in their favor. The customer is worth as much as their wallet.

Good. Keep fighting the good fight, which isn't actually a "fight" but more a defense. When a service says I need MS-Windows, I don't need that service. I also don't opt in to the Apple/Google duopoly.

The whole thing boils down to creating objects (the constructor is built-in) and using functions on objects. Functions are objects, too. In fact, everything except primitive values are objects.

IMHO knowledge of C++, Python, or pretty much everything that's not a lisp variant, doesn't translate well to JavaScript.

There's such a nice language with its own silly warts, readily available to pretty much anyone with a computer regardless of form factor, being misunderstood by the vast majority of programmers.

An uphill battle. IMHO it's okay to assume users have brains and they can figure out the difference between facts and jokes just fine.

Nah, just add your own directories to storage. I've always done it that way and it works just fine.
