And maybe by .NET 9

If I take look on roadmaps and apply developer velocity of MAUI, WinForms and WPF it will take many more versions.

"NATO did not have the backing of the United Nations Security Council to use force in Yugoslavia. Further, NATO did not claim that an armed attack occurred against another state. However, its advocates contend that NATO actions were consistent with the United Nations Charter because the UN Charter prohibits unprovoked attacks only by individual states. The principal legal issue remains, however, since NATO as such is not a member state of the UN, whether the member states of NATO, the United States and the European powers that sent armed forces to attack as part of the NATO bombing campaign, violated the UN Charter by attacking a fellow UN member state: (1) in the absence of UN Security Council authorization, and (2) in the absence of an attack or a threat of imminent attack on them. Probably somewhere in Beijing and Moscow on the same day when bombing started, they were opening bottle of champagne because they got "excuse" to do same later when they need it.

I think that even one single human loss is disaster and hate to go along this road but please inform yourself more on "evidence" of those claims and heavy exaggeration of victim numbers.

WPF is the best desktop GUI framework for enterprise applications. WPF and Prism with third party contols are still unmatched in terms of productivity. Even good old Delphi or VB6 are not coming close.

For us it is really not problem.

We mention in our job descriptions clearly .NET 4.8 and still get 100s of applications. In the meantime we are working on upgrade to the new .NET but it will take at least couple years.

quiet wireless mouse and keyboard

Which models did you buy? I am looking over 2 months now with unlimited budget and have no luck.

Keyboard:

* standard US layout

* should be really quiet for my night sessions

* available in EU

Mouse:

* big size

* standard 3 buttons and wheel

* quiet clicking and scrolling

I have currently Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard (still working but worn out) and Logitech M330 (too small).

Exactly this. My current project is on full .NET Framework 4.8. It is on the latest possible version of ASP MVC, Entity Framework and all typical 3rd party libraries(of which 90% is supported on .NET 5). In the last two years we created several POCs for migration to .NET 5. Our current best estimate is 7 years for 80% of our development team. No sane manager will ever approve that crazy effort with almost no benefits for end users. Additionally we are talking here about most typical CRUD application without almost any advanced engineering. Our onboarding is taking at most 2 days and people can start be very productive even in first couple days. I can only imagine nightmares with more complex systems.

- In general very bad service all around ("Kunde droht mit Auftrag" mentality)

- A lot of weird and bizarre people on the streets (talking with themselves, bad hygiene etc.)

- Not much respect for old people and pregnant women in public transport (young people will block only elevator, most of the time nobody will offer you seat etc.)

Still there are many more other things which make living in Vienna quite good experience.

Thank you for the clarification. For me personally it would be useful to have following feature:

- show the list of all stories that were on the homepage any time during that day.

Maybe there is a way to do that even now but I did not found it.
