Central Valley farmers reluctantly turn to solar as water supplies dry up 17 hours ago

Culture takes time to change. Farmers and their communities have their identity bound to agriculture vs solar production, regardless of the math. In this case, we’re lucky the decision is forced by water shortages that are predicted to make it more economically optimal to lock in long term utility scale solar PV land leases than continue to farm the land. Progress comes eventually (there are more farmers over 75 than under 35 in the US, per the USDA).

Lots of other land in the US this will apply to in our lifetimes.

People. Time is carved out for both documentation and its review, like a PR review. Otherwise, how would you trust what is being documented? A human must remain in the loop if accuracy is a component of success criteria for organization documentation. I say this familiar with Karpathy's LLM Wiki pattern.

Besides cash, no distributed payment systems in use at scale exist. Your options are centralized systems with strong regulation, or centralized systems with weak regulation. KYC, AML, and other controls on value transfer will always exist as long as nation states exist, they have a monopoly on the law and enforcement of it. You won't solve people problems with tech.
