You might notice the law changes section in that article, that amongst other things you can't have loads of fielders behind square on leg side now.
I would also suggest it is not considered unsportsmanlike to bowl short and aim for the head any more, but rather something people look foster's forward to seeing.

I think this currently exists in some shape or other, I don’t have a facebook account but I can click on profiles of businesses and get their opening hours and pictures of their menus or whatever. In think there must be some stuff with a public context.
Is anyone using Ghost and unhappy with it or moving away from it?
I recently set up a blog (a pretty private, small scale travel diary to share with close family as I don't use social media) and did some research before I chose something. With no desire for a newsletter or monetisation or SEO or any of those features I still found the experience of spinning up a Ghost containter[1] got me from 0 to a really good and featureful blog.
The composer works well out of the box on a phone, the defaults are fairly sane, and the selection of out of the box themes is pretty well thought out.
In the past I've used Hugo or other static generators for this kind of thing. That's been far more work for a less user friendly result and the mobile workflow for posting isn't very kind even on a tablet.
I realise it is separate to the weak key prime discovery, but it is interesting how much slow SSH login times are a thread that is worth pulling for one reason or another.

Yesterday a friend remarked to me she had lost a recipe for something or other and I resolved to start recording some I use, I was thinking of something like MD/Obsidian but this looks really good.
Great to have the iOS app, an easily convertable human readable and writable format and hang on to your own data.
Going to give this a good look over today. Might think about an Obsidian plugin as well.

It was never obvious what sort of deal would be done between Europe & the UK govt. from the point of the referendum until quite on late on there was discussion of varying degrees of access to the common market and freedom of movement.
Everything was up in the air politically and diplomatically until the last minute for 4 years and then there was a pandemic (no lorry driver training or testing for over a year)
It’s not contentious that the problem is largely of the UKs own making but management incompetence at a company level is probably not to blame in most cases.
I use fastmail's * alias against a custom domain, to achieve a similar thing. It forwards mail at any address to my normal email, then I just pick a name on signup, ie. hn@emaildomain.com.
I have registered a domain just for the purpose which doesn't have my name in it or host any websites or anything else which can be used to leak my identity with a whois privacy guard service.
It has the dual advantages of being guessable by me if something goes tits up with my self-hosted bitwarden, and I can eyeball who has leaked my email address on incoming spam.

In many ways a much more expensive way to solve the problem, but since I switched to the same keyboard (and I leave my laptop shut) I have been glad of the Apple Watch unlocking.
Putting aside how good the actual predictions are, I really enjoyed how this was written. It explained things in a manner that I could understand, and I don't have meteorological knowledge beyond what I could glean off a weather forecast.

Hugely reccomend The Phone CoOp[1]. I pay ~£33 a month for 80/20. It's properly unlimited, and I pay an extra £0.60 a month for a static IP.
Been really stable for me for a long time, and I have been using them for years for mobile + broadband. They are a really straight forward what you see is what you get organisation.
+ When you ring them up they just answer the phone which can be a bit of a surprise.
- The router they sent me was junk but I just use it as a modem and have some ubiquiti stuff sat behind it.
- Not sure what their opening hours and stuff are like for support, I think it's not far off 9-5
Just to quickly add, I think the project is cool, it provokes interesting discussion and it doesn't need to be legally watertight or achieve what they say they set out to, to be worthwhile.
I know it's many orders of magnitude more difficult.. but if I got a printer to print out one of every possible art and published it, CC licensed it, etc wouldn't that have the same legal status as these melodies... probably none?

They are good for stopping people fiddling in large scale corporate deployments where someones nephew knows how to make the work laptop go faster.
Heh, i was talking about this today. I do three days a month for a client where I use their computers and it's the only time I ever use Windows 10 and the only time I see this. I was asking around about it but no one else was using Firefox. Next time I'm in I'll pay more attention.
I've learnt recently (not much former higher education) the power of making long hand notes on pen and paper. It helps me connect with and think through the material and take it in at a pace I can process it.
It's not quite the same, but I recently studied for a technical exam/certification where the syllabus included about 400 slides (about 10 days of teaching & lab work). I failed the exam just reviewing the slides, even when it was sat quite quickly after I had taken the courses.
The next time I sat it several months after doing the training, I spent about a day and a half writing out the slides. I went through two A4 pads and a couple of pens. I will never review my notes (I have the searchable PDFs), but I found that exam really easy the second time round.
In the appendix table, South Oxfordshire is listed as South Oxfordshite.
This makes more sense to me than actually the app melting down under load which was implied from some reporting.
Then if the Iowa DNC (or whoever) didn't staff up the phones to the usual levels as expecting most results to come through the app, you can kind of get to how something this ridiculous happened...
Either way it's a complete lack of pretty basic testing/training, whether it's with real life users or the scale of the app, or whatever it was, they seem like pretty preventable problems from the outside looking in.
Am I right in thinking the app is used by one person per precinct as well? I'm surprised they hadn't tested even at this scale, we're not talking hundreds of thousands of events a second here, surely. It's hard to imagine how they could be under resourced and untested for a really predictable amount of simultaneous traffic.
I would think there is a concern about what might be considered attractive to children, not really designed to put off adults with a developed sense of aesthetic, who are already users.
I lost any and all sympathy I had when I got to the quoted section.. he seems very fragile himself, and not very good at handling some pretty reasonable criticism.. antifragile indeed.

Excuse my ignorance. if a container hasn't been hit in a long time, how long does it take to serve the first request back? Is it spun up or sort of hot paused?
