Clojure and Deps.edn: A basic guide

138pts17

I used to BE a software engineer. Then, I experienced a 3 years long burnout and got professional help. Now I work AS an Engineering Manager.

You are not your job. Do not put your ego in what you do. That’s something I discuss a lot during my 1:1s.

I’m not trying to compete with Alire. I do Ada for fun and for the sake of doing Ada.

I want to go back to fundamentals and learn by doing how foundational things work. So the plan is to, kind of, create my own programming world in Ada.

I may come up with a way to transfer Alire packages to Tada, I may not :)

This is, for now, for my personal use, but I couldn’t be more happy if someone else finds it useful :)

I got hired ~3 years ago by a small Clojure startup. Both the CEO and the CTO reached out to me and said: hey, we use one of your OSS libraries, would you like to talk maybe?

I've stopped reading news 3 years ago. One of the best decisions of my life. Before I was super anxious and had a big FOMO syndrome. Now I'm more relaxed and I sleep better.

If something is really important, I can be sure other will let me know.

Journaling is a superpower and heavily underrated!

I started journaling ~ 2 years ago, after 2 years in therapy and they complement each other.

I lacked the “framework” to easily reflect on the past self and see how I am changing and growing over the years so I created one:

(It’s nice to see other people find it usable as well!)
