Not all of the presented icon sets are Open-Sourced. Some are, some are free and for some you have to pay with information about you like your email address. So the title sounds nice but it is just wrong.

For rendering HTML emails I use either shr or w3m. To get it more readable I make the text area smaller with writeroom-mode/olivetti-mode in the mu4e-view-mode-hook. But both modes apply just after opening an email a second time.

With `pkill $(pgrep mu)` or even with `pkill mu` you can kill mutt and any mu$ process as well.

`pkill -x mu` matches the whole name without substrings.

Agree with using Isync. Notmuch lacks the backward synchronization to the IMAP server and to another mail client then notmuch.

I primarily use mu4e but want to see changes on my mobile as well as on any remote computer using a web client in a browser.

As far as I know notmuch can just be synchronized to another notmuch instance.

Not at all. While Masterpassword does not save any passwords but generates it based on some unique parameters live - pass stores passwords and notes encrypted with GPG in a git repository.

The list differences to LastPass is long.

Pass is OpenSource. Pass doesn't store your information on anybody else's computer by default. Pass has not first party browser plugin and is therefore not open to attack through browser plugin holes.

On the other hand you control everything by yourself including batch updating your passwords. And there's no online service.

Did you try [chunkwm](https://github.com/koekeishiya/chunkwm) yet? It's the successor of kwm which I have tried on macOS. Mainly I use i3 at Linux but for some work I have to use macOS as well. The only native apps which feel Linux like are iTerm and Emacs (the mac port) because it's possible to suppress the window decorations. Every other native app takes for a real tiling wm too much space with its Titel bar and other frames.

Me too. Started with some GUI editors like Text Mate and Gedit; came to ST3 (bought a license); tried Atom; got convinced to VIM and use Emacs with evil now.

Git itself is Free And Open Source; so I just use Free And Open Sourced clients for.
