I was in a very similar situation for one of my startups, a Shopify clone. We grew it to 50+ paying customers but stalled.

I ended up giving up all my shares to the other founders and taking a 2 year trip to Asia. The company managed to survive and was sold.

I don't regret it. Move on, if the team is good, you will reconnect and build something even better eventually.

I once remarked to a nephew who was thinking about what to do after high school that he should consider a trade. His parents overheard, and though they agreed it was good pay they didn't want their son doing that kind of work.

Upon reflection, I wouldn't want my son to do that kind of work as well, as it's usually hard work and not looked upon favorably.

That's a tough one... I guess it would make it better, but I'm not sure about how the taxes and relationship with the company would play out...

I spent days almost 10 hours, completing a massive interview project for one company. I submitted a fully working solution, had unit test, was pixel perfect, and they didn't even give me an interview.

Not only that they gave me a vague reason, only after pressing for feedback.

Left a very bad taste in my mouth, don't think I'll be doing code assignments again, what a waste of time.

We have a similar practice in Chinese culture, after a woman gives birth, they must take baths with ginger for a few weeks. My mother in-law actually spent hours cutting up enough ginger for my wife.

FYI, I ran the benchmark with power from wall and with out, and got the same performance. It appears to check battery life before deciding core speed.

I just ran Geekbench with it plugged in. Got the same crappy performance with an iPhone 6, getting 1000, when it should be 1400. Here I was hoping a battery case would do the trick.

Wow I was, wondering what the heck was happening with my Iphone 6 plus. I new it had something to do with the software update, but it makes sense now, they had to make a choice, so they limited the CPU based on battery...

At least it wasn't because they are trying to force us to upgrade. I'm going to try an update the battery and see if it makes a difference.
