3. This is targeted at Windows to Linux, but given the speed advantages that it has over rsync couldn’t this be Linux to Linux? That said, I’d be afraid to use this over rsync just from the body of experience and knowledge that exists about rsync.

I wasn’t familiar with the that fastai model until now. I took 6 photos and the classification was an utter failure.
I personally use FullContact for this purpose with custom fields and notes. I love that it syncs with my contacts on iOS and google.
You really need a freemium model for this to gain any type of traction.

One piece of feedback: on mobile view of your homepage, you should do a better job exposing more of your content instead of relying on the hamburger for navigation. Just adding links after the Victor quote would be a step up.

If suggest making a more informative page for mobile browsers. I understand tge mobile browsers like safari mobile don't support the tech you need, but at least tell me what your web app is.

What's the unique value prop here? How is this different than using Event tracking in Google Analytics?

All those PCs are over $1000 and none of them are hands down winners (although the uX31a Touch has been reviewed very well). I believe many PC buyers would pay a premium for a windows PC if it deserved it. IOW, not all PC buyers are looking for cheap, sub $500, PCs.
Take me for example. I have an iPhone and an iPad but have all Windows PCs. I just prefer them. I can afford a MacBook but don't want one. I'd happily pay $1400+ for an amazing win8 touch laptop. But since none exist yet, I'm ok the sidelines waiting.
Some interesting points made in the article, most prominently the argument that the low price point of Win7 netbooks changing consumer expectations of how much a PC should be and what the quality is.
However, I don't agree that PC prices have to come down to make Windows 8 a success. I believe the main reason why Win8 PC sales are low is because we haven't seen very many touch based laptops at all. Take a look for yourself and see if you can find one you'd buy ignoring whether you like win8 or not.
There are only 3 currently available touch laptops a sane person would consider:
- Lenovo Yoga - Acer S7 - Lenovo X1 carbon touch - Asus UX31a Touch
So despite the typical advantage Windows has had in the past with a Tom of breadth in make and models, its just not the case at this point with Win8 touch laptops.
If OEMs pump out more high quality touch laptops, we will see sales spike. Prices don't even have to come down.
I haven't tried this yet, but the promise is fantastic! Can't wait to download the videos I've bookmarked so I can watch them through XBMC.
Feedback: the text box you're using to show the shareable URL to the image is impossible to select and copy from on an iPhone.
Suggestion: Enable an RSS feed.
Visited your site, read and re-read the description and still had no idea what it did. Suggest you add a Bette e explanation or an example.
You might also want to spend a couple of bucks on some icons :). It's amazing what higher quality image assets will do to improve overall impression of an app.

Feedback: 1. Put search in the main article list instead of in the left panel. Perhaps either a hidden search field that you expose by dragging down (like iOS mail client) or a search button that exposes the field.
2. The left panel looks like a junk drawer of icons. They could stand to be organized a bit since I don't see things like Support and history as peers to the categories.
Overall great work. I like the automatic loading as you scroll down.
By "old people" I imagine he means less tech-savvy, not literally just people of an older age. The fact you're on HN means you aren't his target demographic :)
