I would be interested to learn more about Mollie as an alternative to Stripe. I saw that it has some Subscription API endpoints, but I am not sure how it compares in real life to Stripe. How much would I need to build myself in a classical Ruby on Rails SaaS app compared to pay gem/stripe?

I think the logic is to differentiate the "identity" from a "user"

One identity can have multiple users (one for each organization) At the same time, a user can have multiple identities. (e.g. username/password, Google oAuth, SAML etc.)

The source code seems to be on sourceforge.net. I site once important, but now when I see it I either think "the project is most-likely dead" or "can this project be legit? Am I getting malware here?"

First of all, GK3 would create new nodes when one of them gets killed.

Second, builidng “cloud-native” applications means to build stateless applications, e.g. using 12-factor. So it does not really matter if your application gets killed, restarted or horizontally scaled.

For databases, i always recommend to use a PaaS offering to have an easy and worry-free life

This could even be a business model.

Pay $$$ or €€€ to get enterprise support, promissing to fix your issue with a Pull Request in the mainstream repository

I tried it out a couple of months ago, but then decided to not go forward with it.

After the trial was over, i was inable ro access my markdown notes again. I really really hate when I get locked into a product. No matter how open and cool it looks thanks to Markdown.

This could be also the reason or at least be connected to a behavior I experienced when using Apple Maps on the iPhone:

Apple Maps lacks support for bicycles, so when I cycle I usually use the pedestrian mode, as this fits closer to the tracks and routes available for bicycle drivers than the car mode.

But when you cycle to fast, Maps thinks you changed over to a car and tells you to turn around, as the current route does not fit for cars... How common is it see a bicycle in 1 Infinite Loop?
