I have had nothing but issues with HDMI. Doing development and trying to integrate HDMI into a hardware design. Everything should just be Display Port. No question. It is a racket.

I've found matlabs's JIT to be about on par with numba for loops.

I'm just building a new house this year and Ethernet to every room is standard in this area. In a different state in the US coax is standard in new construction. (We just moved) It varies by location.

This is a fair question. We are working with the pediatrician, neurologist, optician, etc. we are ina birth to 3 program. Definitely not just me worrying. There hasn't been aconclusive diagnosis yet, but like I said things are concerning.

Very interesting. I'll keep that in mind going forward. Seems like it could be a valuable skill!

I'm in the U.S. and am in a birth to three program. We are seeing a neurologist, optometrist, etc. medically we are trying to do everything that makes sense. I'm just trying to figure out how to navigate this as a parent for my son to ensure he gets what he needs medically and otherwise.

Lazygit is fantastic. For a GUI I highly recommend sublime merge.

Zettel notes let's you use a git repo with markdown files for note taking. I use vscode on the desktop and zettel notes on Android to manage my personal knowledge base. Zettel notes is fantastic. No proprietary lock in.

You are right. It would be cool if that was an option, but it just seems like a lot of unnecessary complexity to actually make that happen. In addition if you ever want to look at code with a colleague on the same computer then the syntax becomes an issue again.

I think having a single syntax is the best way. I don't want to have to look at python and have to parse spaces, curly braces, square braces, etc. It all being standard is really helpful. A standard Autoformatter like black or gofmt even though I might might not choose all the options, the uniformity is super valuable.

Sublime Merge is fantastic. I've moved on from sublime text, but sublime Merge is a tool I use everday. Invaluable.

It is infuriating when I open the file explorer and it takes many seconds to populate the side bar. This wasn't the case wit windows 10. Everyting in one drive really makes things take a long time. OneDrive is great, but I want a OneDrive folder where things are sync'd, not transparently transforming the file system into OneDrive.

I was homeschooled from 3rd through 8th grade And then attended public high school. I think home school can be great. however, I've never met anyone who is obviously advantaged because of home school, but I've met a few that were obviously disadvantaged.
