That's very interesting, two comments:

- Automatic black box with autocomplete is a deal breaker for me. It'll drive me mad.

- I only use the mouse in the terminal if I have to (it disturbs and slows my flow!). So anything that helps me NOT using the mouse would be better. At the moment I think it's only text select/copy I use the mouse for. And resize the window. So a magic quick way to select text and copy from the keyboard would be very nice.

But I do realize I'm not the intended audience.

in the Netherlands all kids are basically expected to bring their own cold sandwiches every day

Nothing wrong with that. But there's a massive difference of everyone bringing their sandwiches vs. everyone getting a hot meal but little Johnny having his yanked away because his parents can't afford it.

Effective Go 1 year ago

Note added January, 2022: This document was written for Go's release in 2009, and has not been updated significantly since. Although it is a good guide to understand how to use the language itself, thanks to the stability of the language, it says little about the libraries and nothing about significant changes to the Go ecosystem since it was written, such as the build system, testing, modules, and polymorphism. There are no plans to update it, ...

It's really hard to find stuff from the "old internet" on google. I know it's there. But instead it feeds me garbage marketing articles that just touch the surface and then try to sell me something.

Pretty much every time I add a new contact to my phone I start to get really strange ads online. I figured it out when I added a guy who's retiring for the army. I started getting retirement ads for soldiers.

Then, I add a guy I loosely know and what do I start seeing? Cocaine rehab ads. I shit you not. It's not hard to argue that this is more than a minor privacy violation.

Brilliant idea. To make it more accurate:

- Don't force people to participate in jury duty when waiting for jury answer. Many of them will just click random answers.

- Provide "I don't know/Skip" as an answer. Otherwise the options are "Pick a random" and "Logout"

- Allow jury to write text feedback or at least give them a button saying "All provided answers are wrong / NA / Fallacy / ... "

- "your verdict is simulated by AI" if there aren't enough people logged in. Don't do that. I have no interested in that answer.

UML was a scam really. They took a lot of very useful diagrams and created a absolute behemoth of unproven system to develop software and sold it.

The diagrams are very nice and useful. But the UML as a process, if taken literally, it a total disaster.
