Built a local-first Kanban board with Tauri (Rust + Svelte) after getting frustrated with SaaS tools and basic offline options. Stores data in JSON files you control, full keyboard-first UX, parent/child tasks, release management, and it's blazingly fast with localStorage + background sync. No telemetry, purely local. Curious what others prioritize in personal task tools. Seems like there's a gap between "todo.txt" simplicity and Jira complexity.

Very kind - thank you! I think I was a bit late or it expired. But it did prompt me to set up an account which I had been putting off. Haha, now off to explore Kagi with my 100 searches to see what it has to offer.

That would be very kind, if you still have it available. I have been on the fence - skeptical as is my nature, but I wonder if I am in the wrong here :)

I find myself going back to rewatch the movie over and over again, hoping to capture the emotions I experienced during the first time I ever watched it… and it doesn’t disappoint.

Love the setting, the casual nature of the gathering, and how it draws you in with the premise, and always leaves the imagination running wild.

Quite a few people I know use https://nzbs.in/login/ and swear by it. The admins of that site try to masquerade it as another WordPress site. Ingenious. But it is by far the biggest, and the best I am told.

I am addicted to Rotring pencils. I already have more than I will use in a lifetime (56). I have taken to gifting them to my loved ones. I am not sure all appreciate the quality, and the longevity of these pencils, but for those who do, this is a gift greatly appreciated.

That said, I was unable to resist myself and bought four to gift to my direct reports this holiday season, so, thank you OP!

+1 for MXRoute. I switched a few of my domains from Legacy GSuite in the last week, and the transition has been seamless. I am going to check out Cypht - that looks to be the answer to my last minor quibble.

A bit crass, but in Punjabi (India), we used to say “Bund ni maardey”, literally translated to “we don’t do it in the ass”. Not sure why it became synonymous with “we don’t give a fuck”.

If anyone is confused about the BBC not syncing up with the other news coverage, it seems like the creators did not take the time difference into account. You will need to get to 13:59 GMT.

On a personal note, that's the channel I was watching on that day 20 years ago. Watching the exact same coverage again is just ... unsettling.

I may be obtuse, but I am not seeing that on Vivaldi 4.0 on the Mac?

Not at liberty to say which Unis, but this is much wider than initially reported. A lot of American universities were affected as well. They are still measuring the fallout, and how best to respond. We were only told last week.

Another vote for this fantastic software. I have been using it for about two years now - with Reeder on Mac/iOS. Reeder introduced our of the box support for FreshRSS (it used to be via Fever API earlier), and now things are super fast - 12,000 starred items are downloaded on a fresh install in a jiffy. Just can’t say enough about FreshRSS.

RIP Marie. Roxette holds a special place in my heart. Theirs was the first cassette I bought as a kid, back in ’91, having saved all my pocket monies for months. I listened to ‘Joyride’ so many times that summer that I wore out the tape. As I listen to the album right now, I feel this void this day.
