If you're on WSL, getting dbus to work is a PITA. There may be other OS-level issues that folks are running into.

Based on the language on their site about requiring an existing CASS subscription, my guess is there was no approval at all. It appears this person has knowledge of the CASS/KCM systems and APIs, and built a web interface for them that uses the airline's credentials to access the central system. My speculation is that ARINC doesn't restrict access by network/IP, so they wouldn't directly know this tool even exists.

Some quick googling shows the FlyCASS author used to work for a small airline, so this may piggyback off of his prior experience working with these systems for that job. He just turned it into a separate product and started selling it.

The biggest failure here is with ARINC for not properly securing such a critical system for flight safety.

I'm not a Python dev. Why would they do this? This is giving vibes of malware embedded into npm packages.

You don't have to keep your hands on the yoke during hard turns with the FSD beta. Even with a wheel, it would be hard to signal the right amount of pressure without disengaging when their is a lot of movement going on.

Is there any place on your site to see what this actually looks and functions? I see a lot of descriptions of the problems and generalities on what you're doing to solve them, but little of the actual specifics. I'm getting the sense this is sort of a collaborative Asana-like product, but primarily for task tracking across projects created from templates.

Something like a demo video would go a long way for me, a non-salesperson, to understand what kind of product this is. How am I going to interact with it? What exactly is it capable of?

For founders/makers, it's obviously a great source of traffic, leads, and exposure for your product.

For users, it's more about being in on the ground floor with a hot new product. Sometimes that means getting an exclusive deal or free features. Other times it's just the exclusivity of being one of the first customers for something that may be very big one day (think lower user IDs on Twitter or GitHub, for instance).

I think a lot of people like playing with new toys, and PH is a good way to do that without having to spend actual money buying something new to play with. I think it fits in the same niche as those that watch unboxing videos. It's fun to play with new stuff.
