I guess @rrobukef means if you flip A and B repeatedly, they just swap positions and reverse orientation each time.
But if you flip A and B, then B and C, then A and C, you get B and C to swap positions without changing their orientations.

Heck, I've got code I wrote ten years ago and no idea why it was done that way except for a vague memory of a request that I implemented but was never really used.
Thank you! I've let your script run for near 20 hours. It has discovered 3000 items including
`One Does Not Simply Walk Into Mordor`
Thank you for simplifying the "repair" process to long press. That's amazingly helpful for me to think about ways to create a minimum viable product.
My first entry was like "Welcome to thunderrabbit's journal! Today is April 11, 1987 and I just had a fun experience that I want to remember..."
Journaling off and on since 1987, I have a few rules for myself when journaling:
1. Write the time, day of week, date, month, and year for every entry.
2. Don't worry about lapses in writing. Just write a new entry when I can.
3. Allow my topics to be spontaneous. I sometimes have a structure I'd like to use, but allow freedom in any moment.
4. Relish mistakes, smears, stains on the paper by labeling them, e.g. "tea stain while studying with Akane" (real example!)
5. Just enjoy the process of writing.
definitely Japanese writing system. Thank you!
Difficulty spending it all haha. I'm really happy for her.
I have really enjoyed using https://phind.com, which includes attribution in its responses.
For human-written papers, we have the peer review process to spot errors. I wonder if an equivalent could be implemented for AI.
I've also been asking long form questions, including links to my research sources (especially our internal documentation), explaining my reasons for making certain assumptions, etc.
This helps future me easily find answers to the same questions when I end up having them again, and can eventually serve as documentation when even newer people come into the company.
I've also been taking exquisite notes (online, so searchable), including the same type of long-form links so that even if I have to leave a task for a month, future me can come back to it and pick up the thread immediately.
Taking these notes does slow me down a bit in the short run but I find it is invaluable in the long run.
Wow! This explains the trouble I've had trying to ride with the end of my handlebar sliding along a smooth wall near the sidewalk. Thank you!
Fraser Cain interviewed co-author Chris Pearson regarding the topic
Yes it works well for that! I used ChatGPT recently to write a quick code snippet that turned out better than what I found on SO or could have written myself 50X slower.

Now we're coming to an Eternal (AI) Winter..
Spooky to think about, but you could be right. :-/
severe procrastination and a masterful ability to lie to myself.
This 12 step program helped me in my 50s.

Underearners Anonymous® is a Twelve Step Fellowship of people who have come together to help themselves and one another recover from underearning.
Underearning is many things, not all of which are about money. While the most visible consequence is the inability to provide for one’s needs, including future needs, underearning is also about the inability to fully acknowledge and express our capabilities and competencies. It is about underachieving, or under-being, no matter how much money we make.
For me there's a horizontal slider in bottom middle of the screen which controls the auto-scrolling speed.

Though chimpanzees are apes, this was my first thought as well.
Until reading this article, I thought "just desserts" etymology was the final 'treat' one deserved.
people tend to connect more stuff to L1 on average.
I just plug into the wall socket and it works.
How could I choose to connect things to L2?
Nicely said!
One thing that caused confusion for my person trying to use Forestry was that it "takes a long time" for "saving changes"
After each save, they thought something was wrong so would end up breaking/conflicting the process of git commits etc as they tried clicking different things because something was taking too long.
This was a couple of years ago so things may have changed by now.
And Hey explicitly doesn't support IMAP
I'm working on my first animation piece: a full length stop motion movie of characters building Marble Track 3, a working rolling ball track made of wood and glue. (popsicle sticks, chopsticks, toothpicks, etc.)
I've been working about 2 hours per week since 2017. 10,000+ frames taken so far. At 12 frames per second, the video runs about 14 minutes.
It all started after I uploaded a video of Marble Track 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlUqu6QE7bw (nsfw language) and some people asked me how I made the marble track.
This URL will show (a playlist of the snippets showing) in great detail exactly how to create a marble track.
https://mt3s.marbletrack3.com/
The snippets are still silent, given that filming isn't even close to completion.
On the same channel, there are behind the scenes videos of me creating the track. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHiQhB8J_KI2LYQ7dsexfLw
I have done some livestreams and recently some "summary" videos, done in a timelapse style.
Because work on the track takes a lot of time, almost every piece has its own name, and the site https://www.marbletrack3.com/ aspires to document all the pieces, and show which characters made which parts of the track.
While I am hoping the project organically gains visibility and financial support, I am not pushing for that so I retain creative freedom. In any case, I will keep making the movie of characters making Marble Track 3.
Building the self-sensing and error-recovery logic to support a "level 5" automated unfolding is wasteful
Very true, especially if they tried to do all that the first time.
In a way, this stepwise deployment is a test run for a future version that can do it a little bit more automated.
This actually happens in Japan, and until now I assumed it was not advertising.
I would translate it as "turn at the next left; where there is a ______."
The ______ is often a convenience store. hmmmm!
