I’m doing ok. I was recently promoted from Technical Product Manager to Director of Product Development. I am making well into 6 figures. Not super happy with the relationship I’m in. Girlfriend spending habits are out of control

First thing I would do is download and build. Then find he incr method/interfaces/etc. Then rename all of those to mult and try and rebuild and see if mult works identically to incr. Then start working on modifying incrementing toy multiplying.

As a former drug addict with a DWI felony I often wonder what my life would be like if I hadn’t gotten into tech at a young age and somehow managed to graduate from university. At 200k a year in a medium COL city I can just barely afford a house, car, and girlfriend while adding some money to savings every week. I don’t understand how people can live on 45k a year let alone 30k a year

This is crazy I was thinking of offing myself and was wondering how my parents would be able to contact my work. Would it be a slack message? Idk

I work for a 10,000 employee organization ( not technically a software company but definitely an who’s customers are engineers and has a strong engineering culture ). We don’t have dedicated QA people by name, but we do have sever BAs who are essentially dedicated QA. Commits need to have test cases, then they get code reviewed, merged into erotic branch, epic branch merged into one of the dev. The. Our technical product managers generally test it ( at my org our technical product managers are highly technical and write code themselves ). Then generally we merge into test and eventually BAs test it. That’s generally how it works where I’m at currently. I’ve only ever worked for one org with a dedicated QA team

The “alcoholism is an incurable disease” trope came from a religious organization peddling snake oil. Not the best foundation to build your argument on. Studies indicate that many people are cured of their alcoholism and addiction. Generally through “aging out”. Additionally, just like alcoholism, the problem is the result not the cause. Alcoholics who don’t drink also don’t run over kids. People who don’t endlessly scroll don’t waste 5 hours a day. It doesn’t matter how it’s achieved

Doing this for an on-site position is ballsy but for remote jobs this is more common than you think. This has happened to me at least 3 times
