My only issue with Codex (Sol 5.6) is that it sometimes finds tasks on its own to solve that are definitely out of scope. like it’s always aiming for the 1.0 release when we’re still on 0.1.0a

Reverse engineering/decompilation of game binary (Tears of the Kingdom) using Ghidra for modding spanning Java (ghidra), C++ (mods), Python (scripting) and PowerShell (scripting for builds/deploys/etc.).
Fable succeeded in cases where Opus 4.8 consistently marked situations as walled/impossible.
I’ve been using it to use Ghidra to do reverse engineering for modding Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Pre-ban it would flag immediately, post-ban it _rarely_ flagged anything and when it did I realized I could just make a memory telling it to convert reverse engineering speech into game development speech, not mentioning pointers, memory, addresses and decompiling. Then the flags mostly went away.
You can sidestep flags by just compacting and then changing the model back at any rate.
Is this available in written form or even as a GitHub repository?
~3 years, I don’t doubt your experience though. Just saying it’s not universal.
Nah that was just Breen’s propaganda. They do however disable humanity’s ability to reproduce with the “suppression field”.
flipping between gaming/desktop mode induced a fail state probably 30% of the time until a year ago
That doesn't reflect my experience at all.
Am I crazy? Even a 1080 TI should have zero problems running Minecraft Java Edition...
Large corps value readability over algorithmic complexity too...
I thought Karpathy was going to OpenAI?
How do you get something like this set up?
Opus 4.6 was on drugs past 200k
Which drugs?
Essentially yes.
Even on a Steam Deck you have to run Steam in desktop mode to have the buttons on the deck work.
That's not true. You get a reduced functionality controller with trackpads that can still be used to start steam back up.
Local models perform objectively worse than SotA SaaS models. Your employees will hate this decision.
They’re slowly deprecating and ending the Sora API over the next 6 months.
Doesn't look AI-generated at all to me.
It worked.
Debatable.
You’re aware this is effectively a forum?
Like I said, there wasn’t anything wrong with your comment. It just didn’t seem to directly address the parent comment. This does, thanks.
There’s nothing wrong with your comment per se, but it’s almost as if you didn’t even read the comment you’re responding to.
You didn’t find this part naive?
But within 20 years, 99% of the workforce in the military, the government, and the private sector will be AIs. This includes the soldiers (by which I mean the robot armies), the superhumanly intelligent advisors and engineers, the police, you name it.
It all runs on commands like imsg that Claude would be excellent at running given a suitable CLAUDE.md. Scheduled tasks are literally just cron, no problem for Claude.
Can’t fathom why people would downvote this.
This article is bullshit. You can't get a full model from training on just one artist's work. A pretrained model is required. The pretrained model was likely one which was indeed trained on the works of others without consent.
What's more, their reasoning for abandoning the company was to build out another company with a suspiciously similar idea...
No one saw it coming.
Thanks.
I have bipolar disorder. The more frustrating aspects of coding have historically affected me tenfold (sometimes to the point of severe mania). Using Claude Code has been more like an accessibility tool in that regard. I no longer have to do the frustrating bits. Or at the very least, that aspect of the job is thoroughly diminished. And yes - coding is "fun again".
Then they solved this by introducing GPT-5 which was more like a router that put all these models under the hood so you only had to prompt to GPT-5, and it would route to the best suitable model.
Was this ever explicitly confirmed by OpenAI? I've only ever seen it in the form of a rumor.
Can someone please explain plainly what this means and what happened, and why it is the source of so much controversy?
I'm not being insincere - I am genuinely confused and would benefit greatly from a (hopefully unbiased) recollection of what this is all about.
