This is an oft repeated suggestion. But the problem is that, there is very little step by step commentary on these codepens. Its mostly only the final step that is presented. I tried recreating some and then got stuck with finer points of positions, margin-auto etc. Thats when I realised I need to solve some advanced CSS puzzles. Thanks anyways!

It depends on whether the person is on L-1 visa or H-1 visa. If L-1, I can't help. But if its H-1, In all probability, the guy is just afraid of interviewing outside. As someone mentioned below, changing job is tough but not very tough.

Please tell them to seek outside jobs.

So, pertinent question. I want to move my account to a bank which gives me an API so I don't have to deal with Plaid or Mint. I.e. I want data privacy. I want to build a personal dashboard of where my money is going.

Any suggestions?

I am building a website called interviewblindspots. Website provides code feedback with interviews in Mind. Its a large market so thats a plus. It aims to be a onestop solution for interview preparation (in short term) and a CS curriculum (in long term). I am a backend engineer by profession so I am having lots of problems with Frontend, Specifically CSS. If you are interested/intrigued in the idea, send me a mail (Email in profile).

Yep. Need help with frontend skills. Mostly CSS. Idea is to build a code review site specifically focusing on blindspots in interviews. If interested, email in profile.

Can someone here explain why companies pay only 40% of US salaries in India? One person from my team is leaving for India soon. He is paid $200k/yr currently in Bay area. But he is being offered INR50 lakhs which is roughtly $80k USD. What stops MS from paying something like $120k USD (converted to INR) because fully loaded costs in US (with FICA taxes) is abot $250K?

Especially, if the quality is the same in both places?

Coloring this book would be fun but someone needs to suggest what colors to use. To a backend engineer like me, the only colors that exist are black and white (Terminal colors) :(

1) Yes. And Companies might also pay for training. 2) Actually, good forums for this are lacking. WiserState is good step in this direction 3) Yes. First time managers need all the help they can get. 4) Consider if it should be video based or should be a giant tree based questionnaire? Text is faster to read. Much much faster to read. I can read at my own pace, the areas that I do not like. Understanding what I would do in various scenarios will help me understand what I should do in this situation. Write blogs to other resources on the topic to increase your street cred. 5) This is not interactive video. This is pre recorded videos with some input from users.
