Why does it matter, as long as it accomplishes the task?

Probably it's learned behavior from the parents. When your parents had good intentions but really panicked or scolded you like the world was going to end when you did something wrong... that can have a subconscious impact in your life that every wrong move and every thing that happened could be a matter of survival.
Yeah I mean literally cleaning my house, watching dirt suck up, and reorganizing can be much more satisfying than fixing some stubborn backend systems bug that takes years of knowledge to have the mental tools to fix - lol
Buggy. Random slowness in the UI going well below 120hz. Massive battery drain for no reason. UI elements just looking out of place, big print, random places.
The UI itself is supposed to be intense to render to some degree. That's crazy because most of the time it looks like an Android skin from 2012.
And on top of this all -- absolutely nobody asked for this. No one asked for some silly new UI that is transparent or whateveer.
Their software is literally falling apart. ios26 was the biggest trash ive ever experienced from a company this big
I find the AI can make me more creative. I don't have to waste mental energy on boilerplate or straightforward stuff that would take me typing through some event processing loop etc. I can extract out and reuse components easier and focus on big picture design. Or build more bespoke admin tools that I wouldn't have wanted to waste time building some JS stuff before.
Why would the Fed let that happen?
If Russia was so superior to what the commonly held belief was on Feb 24th... why have they underperformed even the most conservative estimates?
Even Gen. Milley thought they would take Kiev in 2.5 days lol.
Right now they are burning through huge huge amounts of stockpile from Soviet times, etc. They aren't producing much. And their manpower is coming from reserves and prisoners recrutied by Wagner.
How inflation but also less consumer power?
If Biden passed that might be catastrophic
Why bitcoin back up?
These companies were funded with the idea of future profits. The high interest rate environment has made the demand for those future profits move forward in time. They need the profits now and will adjust strategy to get that.
At what rate of use did it become a problem?
I'm basically asking, do you think once every 2-3 weeks will be an issue? I think something about relying on it, even at 2-3 weeks, might make it an issue long term. But I'm not sure.
It doesn't affect me the same way as it did 10 years ago when i first tried. Back then it was euphoria and now it's just slight concentration. Which is ideal for working. But the euphoria is mostly gone.
Even sell at loss? Even if you are single and have decent cash savings already and a solid job?
Why not just hodl?
How do people live on 30k gbp? I was just in London and stuff is expensive, eating out and drinks etc. And programmers that are like 30 years old are getting 30k gbp?
The side effects came from sparing use? Like perhaps once a week at most, but once every 2-3 weeks ideally.
I've actually found that a very small 2.5mg is MORE effective for doing work than 5-10.
I do it once every 3-4 weeks not only to get stuff done, but refresh/reset how to "be in hyperefficient flow" where you just get stuff done and enjoy it.
What do you mean baseline?
If it's a self-driven tech company... yes. If it's a tech cohort that supports some other business function that has stakeholders, I would say no. Simply because the stakeholder can't physically shout at somebody when something goes wrong. They will pay for that.
No, no use for consumers tbh
3 hours prob -- 30 min scrum, 30 mins support, 2 hours coding/analyzing jiras/thinking about what should/needs to be done.
Would never want to be a manager, they're in stupid meetings all day.
That's with no income at all for the rest of time, etc.
Hesse is amazing. Which of those authors would you say reach the level of Hesse?
Same here and there's nothing wrong with it. Do what you gotta do to get what you want. Sometimes your team's goal line up with yours, and sometimes they only line up 30%.
My goal personally is to get a promotion to Senior, a solid 20% salary bump and then cruise control like you are.
Yeah I think there's a level of about 1-15 mil where you're not like baller level rich but you have more than enough to explore the world and live a very very comfortable life.
Spot on. I mean OP is in an absolutely savage situation. Understand the pitfalls to lots of money (drug abuse, filling void with purchases, etc)... but besides that just focus on solving problems, discovering more of the world, or helping others succeed and build on society themselves.
Not that complicated.
Pretty tough. And your guy Trump did 0 as well.
I'm like near B2 in spanish, B1 portuguese, was about B2 in german awhile ago but I don't practice it anymore (not that useful).
Learned all in the past few years.
Go for Pimsleur to start, plus a little bit of Duolingo. Then start going to language meetups (this is the most important after you're approaching B1), reading up about grammar a bit, using Italki for online practice, and think about traveling to the country.
You want a balance of natural speaking ability, but also want to understand the general gist and way the language works so you can reason things easily if needed to - to fill in any gaps.
Why do you think so? Berlin is cool. I like techno a lot. Obviously very German vibes. But stuff seems pretty far apart, transit kind of annoying.
I don't get what would be so interesting about nyc after age 35 or so. Just people trying to make it, money to be made, tourists and visitors, etc. The young people you can kind of classify and thus they're not that interesting.
Don't need something crazy, just a 25 min run can suffice.
