This is unlikely. Perhaps “most code”, but not “all”.
People can overwhelmingly shift to a new technology, but the old one usually remains in use, even if niche.

Current state of frontier AI is a joke, with proprietary platforms attempting to grab as many users as possible, subsidizing tokens and otherwise burning VC money. This can’t be good long term, not for the consumers at least.

With Anthropic I run out of quota very fast on a Pro plan with long contexts.
Is long context primarily for Max tier or for API usage? Or are there special ways of working with long context on a Pro plan?
GoPros are used all over in aerospace. If we replaced the brand with Insta360, that puts a big attack vector all over the place.
What would the attack vector be? I’m not saying there isn’t any, I don’t know much about aerospace and this sounds interesting.
IMHO it’s still just that: early emoji use was literal and later use got more [nail polish emoji].

I see a gap in the ecosystem: too few mature open source harnesses.
I’d like a community led, BYOK, modular project where I can define, orchestrate, monitor and maintain agents.
Of course this is a new area and projects like this take time. But still, IMHO, a gap exists.

True, technically some may want both long term.
Then again, AI is almost completely unregulated at the moment. Its expansion sometimes disregards laws. Defending use of AI in its current form is in opposition to regulating AI use.
The “just a tool” argument was doomed from the start. Many tools are heavily regulated. Meds, drugs or guns are only a few of the most controversial examples.
I’m not saying we should treat AI as one of the above; I’m saying that regulation is common and can be beneficial.
Note that commenters here generally praise regulators when eg smartphones are banned at schools.
