Visual effects went through this same development issues as the industry matured. What took this industry decades to advance it taking months in AI. Think the spaghetti Will Smith and now this. Another one people don't mention here but is specific to video is higgsfield ai.

My specialist had used my high platelet count and blood test that came back with a JAK2 mutation then after a bone marrow biopsy to incorrectly diagnose me with ET. My high hemoglobin levels should of been checked by my first specialist as an indication of PV not ET. Only the second specialist picked up on this. Google AI took five seconds, and is free. The specialists costs $$$ and took weeks.

"Gold standard" is a term used within the scientific community to describe the high rigor expected within the scientific community when doing research. Have you heard of this thing called Peer Review? It's what academia hold up as their gold standard and it is supposed to pick up on these things.
I used to watch her show a few years back. I enjoyed her willingness to point out the failings of the scientific community. Things like lying by omission around the cold fusion energy levels being generated. Certain cosmological areas ignoring the need for empirical validation of their mathematical models etc. This was during that post-covid window where science was the institutions not the the method, skepticism was anti-science. Scientists were being portrayed as angels not humans, that don't suffer from the same failings as the rest of humanity... Anyway it was refreshing.
It was her video on the Stanford Internet Observatory. That made me realise she doesn't always put a lot of research into areas outside her expertise.

You can actually estimate this pretty well with only your brain and basic math. Example 1 in Guesstimation by Lawrence Weinstein and John Adams, would work for this problem. The problem is about estimating the height of all lottery tickets in a lottery. Another book called The art of Insight in Science and Engineering by Sanjoy Mahajan has this problem (1.3) but its with a suitcase filled with $100 bills.

Nature is a complex system. Many are in competition, it's not just humans. Most of these systems form a balance (see biodiversity). Due to resource scarcity, power tends to form which gives these power structures and advantage. Humans form these power structures arounds groups. This has been happening for as long as humans tribalised. Right now, humans can form these groups at nation-state level complexity and to some extent more global. This is humans current best effort. If you can do better, please do.

Children seem to benefit primarily from watching relationships that genuinely make both parents happy.
I think you'll find the data supports chidren benefiting from a happy loving home. Not from the concern of the parents relationships with others.
My childhood friends were mostly from divorced parents and it very much impacted them all in negative ways. Parents are security blankets for children. It's who they run to when scared and need love. They are dependent on them survival. Ripping that apart causes harm.
