I will a lot of times write and email and give it to an LLM to soften it or round it out since I have a bad habit of being overly direct.

Humans do this too though. I have close friends that ask for advice. Sometimes if I know there’s risk in touchy subjects I will preface with “do you want my actual advice, or just looking for a sounding board”

I’ve seen firsthand people have lost friends over honesty and telling them something they don’t want to hear.

I really don’t remember. But I kept getting people creating different accounts that I wouldnt know about until it went to collections and dinged my credit. Took me a couple years to finally get it locked down. After 5ish police reports and ftc identity theft reports that all these energy/cell phone companies require for you to dispute.

It’s maddening that these companies give out service with wrong variations of my name and no ID but then want me to jump through hours of hoops to get it removed from collections.

Luckily I got it all resolved prior to rates shooting up so I was able to refi at all time low rates or this would have cost me a lot of money.

Twilio is forcing Tollfree Number registation and their current timeline is 6 weeks to approve. Well a week or 2 ago they decided that they wanted more data than what was currently submitted. So everyone is currently being denied and having to resubmit their registrations.

10DLC / Local numbers is madness in and of itself too. Forcing businesses to pay quarterly fees so these poor ol' carriers can have more recurring rev.

Just a guess, but this likely has something to do with 10DLC and/or Toll Free Verification and all of the complexities that are being pushed by the carriers for users to register their numbers and even pay to use if you want to use 10DLC.

No, I don't feel the same way about Junk email. I can go through it at my leisure and there's history there. Carriers potentially blocking calls is just some black box deciding what's "safe" for me.

There are issues with mail servers being blacklisted and they can't send emails to me. But there's actual visibility to that. You can look up mail server IP's and get to the root issue of why you're blacklisted.

Honestly I'd rather the government focus on the endless junk mail I receive to my home than anything. I spend more time sorting that rather than hitting decline on my phone.

Illegal (fraud) robocalls need to stop.

My bank was trying to get a hold of me due to them turning off autopay, and I wasn't answering their calls because it doesn't show a phone number or anything. Just "Spam Likely"

IMO I'd rather see all calls coming to my phone, and send them to VM if I want. Devices nowadays even have the capability to block calls from outside your contact list if you want.

These decisions should be up to me! Not some blackhole where algorithms decide if I should receive the call or not.

It’s not about recently infected. It’s about deaths per day of unvaccinated. If the amount of death among the unvaccinated is going down daily then it is. It has nothing to do with recently infected because at some point some of those people may die next week or the week after and it will be reported then.
