author here: for me it was important because after a while the app I was using was stale and wasn't shipping updates anymore. Also, as I was learning more about productivity, I reached the limits of the app. I wanted more features and I was coming up with tons of ideas that I could implement into my app, and other devs wouldn't care about implementing these ideas. I wanted control. So I finally shipped Benji (https://benji.so)

It's named after my dog Benji haha. Yes you're right, I'm not gonna mention any competitors, especially on a viral HN article :) There's a chance I might make a /comparison page in the future though.

Sorry to hear that. As someone who actually shipped a lot of things, i'm still going through the "I believe in it" and "don't believe in it" cycle almost daily. Don't let that stop you.

It's not made up, I'm not using the competitor app for years, and I didn't want to give them more attention because this space is super competitive.

Lately I've been super busy with building [Benji](https://benji.so) which is a Life OS and organizes your habits, todos, routines, planner, fasting, meal tracking and a billion other features. I got tired of paying subscriptions for 31855 mediocre apps so I built a single master app that combines everything.

Even though it doesn’t simulate multiple engines, it simulates resolution, pixel ratio, user agent string, browser UI, OS UI, device frame etc. So it gives you a much more accurate representation of what your website would look like than any other browser out there.

Also, simulating devices is one of the features, even if you don’t care about responsive design, there’s plenty of features that can speed up your development work.

Please check out what Sizzy can do before you say “this feature”, because there’s plenty of features that differentiate Sizzy from any other browser. We’re really trying to make the most useful browser for developers.

The author here. If you look at the contributions, the only ones were a change to the readme, adding prettier and git hooks for linting, fixing typos, and few CSS one-liners. If the project had major contributions it would definitely be a shitty move.

Hey, author here. I'm using WebStorm with Material theme.

I tried Scaphold because all of the shiny promises on their landing page like: out of the box integrations, analytics etc.

Turns out the most basic feature of a BaaS app, the console, is practicaly unusable. Too buggy, too many errors happening. After struggling with it for a while I switched to graph.cool.

The small issues that I had with it were resolved by the team immediately. Smooth sailing from then on
