Are you saying that not using Google search has improved your quality of life?

Because (a) by the rules of engagement, management is not required to share original feedback, and (b) the original feedback could be used to identify the sources. In this case, there might have been a real risk to the sources given the individual in question is known to mobilize internal and external forces like Twitter mobs to personally attack people and bully them into submission.

To clarify, the first paragraph of defertoreotar@'s comment is a quote from Timnit Gebru's tweet where she admits to recently conspiring a legal battle against Google, while on Google's payroll. A wolf in sheep's clothing...

She has been advancing her agenda for a while by strategically picking fights, and winning them because she's been on the right side of a political wave and knew how to ride it. Then she got blinded by her own success and overplayed her hand, a classic cautionary tale. Fun fact: many people, not necessarily managers, won't be shedding tears seeing her go.

People are moving out the city (or getting second homes) - that is exactly the trend you are seeing. The urbanization tide has reversed. For how long? Who knows...

Re: YouTube video you linked below. The table shown by that Dr in the first few minutes was enough to discredit her (claiming Covid-19 is not transmitted by air, only kills 80+ year olds, etc.) All falsehoods.

To add to the confusion, the CDC website is calling this number CFR (not IFR), which doesn't make sense to me at all.

For a company whose product never took off, the valuation is puzzling. Sure, they had some big name investors, but is this how the supposedly meritocratic tech sector makes decisions: based on clout and connections? Same old school thinking in disguise?

This is another variation of the Turing test. Time to realize: the Turing test is useless because: (a)the goal is to game the jury and (b) humans don't necessarily make sense either (example: bad or even just confusing poetry) so the human baseline is not always well-defined. Need Turing Test 2.0

I wonder what it would look like if instead of going after breadth with superficial responses, they restricted the system to one narrow domain, like scheduling and went on to generate deeper and more contextual responses.
