We can't relax. Solving problems on tight deadlines means that we are inherently paranoid about doomsday scenario. But at the same time, no need to be overly pessimistic :)

Absolutely. It's purely vanity in a way it's a power play. They can afford to negotiate, so they will.

If they don't have to negotiate, for example when the market is bad or when there are competing offers from a non-peer - they choose not to.

But oh, hey, you just bought a vacuum cleaner? I know what you would really like! MORE VACUUMS!

I have worked on the same recommendation systems. It's also the most often oncall issue. The problem is mostly due to lag in event processing (especially orders).

Even if it's not legally binding, it will be, and should be embarrassing for a big corp to do things that they are specifically not asked to do.

For example, Google doesn't really surface those pages hidden by robots.txt, even if they can.

The problem is that AI is infinitely scalable. Yes, I can get inspired by your writing, but I won't be able to replace you by churning out huge number of articles. AI can.

Scale changes (and should change) how things are done.

If you follow Amjad on Twitter, it's evident that he is incredibly petty.

Repl.it is a company with no moat. They are features are literally used by dozens (check the number of runs of the repls)

Only companies which are so insecure about tech get into petty fights with college interns.

Wow. I have more than 5 meetings a day, I miss meetings, and I still don't see myself installing it, let alone paying for it.

Is it really such a big pain that you need to join a meeting on time? Usually someone messages me asking me to join in case I miss it.

Someone at YC be: Ima give this $120K coz why not.
