I just wanted to hijack this thread to say thanks for your deep dives into die reversing. They've really turned what always seemed like arcane runes into some sort of actual understanding on my part.

Pretty much figured that would be impossible until this point.

We all figured this would be coming, but man does it feel weird to be rooting for B&N to stay afloat when they were basically the evil empire of book stores just a handful of years ago.

The indie bookstores will probably be around forever, but I'll be super sad the day that the big book store is dead. I'm still fucked up from Borders going under.

Super late, but the term MCU refers to the actual chip -- analogous to SoC for the main chip on a raspi.

You don't call the raspi an SoC, and it's debatable that you'd call a prototyping platform like Arduino an MCU. The MCU is the main Atmel AVR, Microchip PIC, or similar part that drives such a board.

Learn those cursor movement keys combos and you'll find it ends up being way faster to get to the middle of your line to drop your ctrl-v that way once you're used to it.

Yeah, as someone who grew up on 12 acres off a dirt road -- in the comparitively populated SE corner of Michigan and still within the suburban area of a small city as well -- I think a lot of the more Eurasian crowd have a hard time understanding the true scope of situations like North American rural communities.

Cable didn't even come up to our street, and this is ~4mi from the local town -- pretty far from 'super rural' in local terms.
