true, but aren't these walled gardens? Meaning, could there be a more open, developer-friendly solution?

@yobbo author here. Totally agree on my contributions being negligible ;) That being said, doesn't that actually prove the point? If a good amount of business value is coming from gluing pieces together, why not start from the top?
