Does anyone remember where an Exodus colo facility was in SF around that same time (1999-2001)? That was my first visit to the area and I can't seem to locate the neighborhood now that I live here.

I was making $1-3k monthly. I logged in at the end of November (*edit: 2012) to see what my Xmas bonus was going to be. Turns out it would be a big, fat zero. Account suspended/canceled.

I submitted a claim and they said: sorry, no - you're done.

There was zero reason to do it. No ToS violations, no fraudulent clicks. Just $30k less in my bank account for the next year. The second most frustrating part, aside from the loss of revenue, is that they won't tell you why or what caused the cancellation.

My visits to the promotions tab has been reduced to 0-1 time a month since their introduction. I guess they need to try something to get those visits back?

Actually, I think it will be much worse than that. Think: location based advertising. In order to use color you have to allow GPS for the app and, optionally, push-notifications. A perfect combo for pushing ads when you're within X range, etc.

No geo-ad platform has this low barrier to entry with this high of an incentive. Simply snap a pic and it's recorded and you're "checked in" if you will. You're doing something you want to be doing: recording your event, people you're with, etc. With 4S and Gowalla you have to want to check-in. Checking in is the app - not recording your memory by way of a picture/video. Sharing pictures is the biggest social app on the web.

I think we were on the front of the site for about 45 minutes. We saw over 2k uniques within that time.

Then we saw another wave late that night when Europe woke up and started tweeting. The "social sharing" confirmation page continues to bring traffic, but it's slowed considerably after the first two days.

I haven't used Big Brother specifically. Big Brother appears to be filling an enterprise level need for "everything". I'm guessing the majority of their users only actually need 80% of its functionality (if that).

We're starting with that majority-of-users functionality and building from there. Ease of use will and simplicity are our primary goals. Internal monitoring by way of server-side agents is part of the plan.

The best feedback and advice I've gotten so far.

The monitoring product idea was created because of that exact issue. Nothing seemed to really solve the problem for us. I'll definitely refer back to this comment often.

Keeping it simple while still remaining functional for "advanced" users is one of my primary goals. We will start with the basics, but only so we can actually launch the product asap.

That's really the problem we're looking to solving though. Simplifying the mess. (that includes billing)

In the end, we have a certain feature set that's our internal goal. Whether their is demand for every part of that is another topic. Polling and a/b testing will determine where our development efforts are focused and how the first iterations shape up.
