[dev here] The Internet access is required only for the daily wallpapers and nothing else. The messages pop up based on date. Many users seem to like it but if I hear any more complaints, I'll consider removing them.

[Olauncher dev here] There's no Firebase integration in the Olauncher and never was. It literally collects no data. The releases on the Play Store, F-Droid and Github releases [APK] are all built from the same codebase, which is available on Github. Not sure why it's flagged.

I have been using a solo WhatsApp group as my "notes app" for years. Quite common with Android users. But when I needed a dedicated notes app to get a little more organised, I couldn't find anything satisfactory. The popular notes app are way too complicated for my purpose. The lesser knowns usually don't have a good UI/UX. And there's also the issue of privacy.

I needed a privacy respecting notes app which worked like whatsapp. So I built exactly that - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makenoteto...

Took inspiration from Signal and called it Note to Self.

OP here. I have been wasting too much time on my phone during this pandemic. I had to delete my most used social media accounts permanently to fix this. While that was helpful, it wasn't enough. I wanted to bring down my smartphone usage even further and that's when I stumbled upon minimalistic launchers for Android. Used them, loved them and decided to make one myself and open source it. Well, today's the day.

Presenting Olauncher! A minimalistic, free and open-source launcher app for Android. Now available at Play Store and Github. I hope you find it useful.

I published a minimalistic launcher app[0] recently and I was wondering if I can add a voice assistant in it to execute simple commands like "call someone" or "search this". Google assistant is completely off on my phone.

Now this looks amazing. I hope that at some point it will exist outside the browser. If they had an Android SDK, I'd add it in my app right now.
