FBI Harassment 10 years ago

Last I checked, the FBI doesn't patrol the streets. Unless they're, uh... harassing you.

I bought one of the Fx0 phones last month.

Sad to hear this news. I wanted to move away from Android and iOS, and saw FFOS as the only viable option.

They should've mass produced whatever the developer phone was, the Flame I think? Sell it to consumers as a flagship, supported by Mozilla devs, and community devs...

The Serial Swatter 11 years ago

If you watch enough swattings (most are streamed via twitch.tv and wind up on youtube) you'll see they typically have a sheriff follow the obviously unarmed, unharmed, and generally confused victims around the house.

In the newer Ghost in the Shell series, an antagonist writes a virus that takes control of all the cars in the city, causing a massive physical/real-world denial of service.

I have wanted these phones for the longest goddamn time.

The LG or KDDI Fx0 was the coolest looking phone I have seen in the last 5 years. But it was unreasonably priced at nearly 400 USD

I recently stumbled across the geeksphone revolution which actually seems to be a high-end phone and at a nice pricetag of less than 200 USD.

Data isn't a scarce resource, bandwidth maybe, but data conservation is not (should not be) a user "incentive".

Carriers acting like data is scarce and in need of conserving are discouraging users from using their product...

You seem to have the word incentive confused with the word discourage.

Or it's an obnoxious euphemism.

I have an unlimited data plan on T-mobile for 30 bucks. Paying by the megabyte would discourage me from using data, not "incentivize me to use less data".

There's no reason to block servers or VPNs or tethering. There's no reason to throttle BitTorrent or Netflix or terminate anyone's service for "excessive" usage. In fact, with pay-per-GB carriers should encourage BitTorrent use!

Thank god for net neutrality, and unlimited/unmetered data, right?

I don't really understand how you're capable of looking past his incoherent rambling about the CIA actively persecuting him for his cooperation with IRAN to produce BigBang weapons and instead focusing solely on the n-word sprinkled throughout said ramblings.

Sure, out of context, Terry is completely racist. He's also helping Iran build weapons of mass destruction.
