Yeah, too many lead batteries here, and there are a lot of battery recycle factories. It's been a health and environment concern for a while. And these batteries allowed to put motors on rickshaw, we call them "Tesla", And they are also another hazard, and menace for the price of faster transportation.

This made me test my own app with the book. And even though it had no issues loading it, it still left me thinking I can get much better performance on scrolling.

My previous house, which was a pretty big "modern" house, on 7th floor, had no tree in view, I didn't realize how it affected me, but everyday I grew more cluster-phobic, days went I was having sudden panic attacks, with sudden imagination of being stuck in a closed box.

Now we changed to a much smaller house on 5th floor, it's so much older than the previous house, but it has a lake side view full of trees, I can look out and see them from my window.

And now I realize in some extent, how badly the previous house affected me. My cluster-phobic episodes are completely gone, and I don't have those stuck feelings any more. I know I still have it, i feel it coming if the door knob gets slightly stuck, and takes little bit more time, but other then that none of the actions that used to cause it, not causing it anymore.

In our city we build jail cells for house in the name of safety. So all windows of the house are grided with no way to get out of the house in case the front door caught fire. But these trees gives me peace. I don't have to look at them, knowing that they are just by the window, makes me so much relaxed.

I still can't fathom how people can cut them down

Working on my simple, frictionless journaling tool, that focuses on simplicity, and being lightweight, but still quite powerful.

And I plan to have more features like: time tracking, kanban, read later links, scripting etc, in the same simple interface.

The important part is, data is and will be stored in a single text file. No online interaction.

Right now you can

  - Organize notes/todo in projects or tags

  - Archive notes that are not needed

I'm using a OnePlus 7, as my daily driver. Because it was bootloader unlockable, and LineageOS exists, I still can use it. And it performs respectfully, and serves my purpose. Except, my banking software, and digital payment applications, all works

So, OEM just have to let us unlock the bootloader, just let us unlock it after they stop selling it, and it would reduce so much waste.

I believe Linux supports Wacom tablets pretty well, I have one which worked without any issues, and buttons can be fully customized. The pen broke though, so it's now collecting dust, and I'm not in situation to replace it.

Unfortunately for Surface pro, some parts of the touch screen was damaged during battery replacement. But the parts that works, works well.

And I have one that I use as thin client for my desktop, Linux made it usable! 10 year old surface pro 3, 8 to 9hr battery life, takes less than 20s to boot up to Gnome, no issues browsing on Firefox, it's a solid device on the go. And to my total surprise, it retained charge even after almost a month of no usage.

After nvidia's many years of neglecting Linux, paired with direct Microsoft's involvement? Are we going to trust them, to allow installing Linux in these easily?

You do now do this from `Profiles` menu too, without going down to CLI path. It's extremely simple now.

I've many time faced drivers who thinks they own the road. Coming from the wrong side trying to push me. And, I would be an asshole to them, because, I stood my ground.

Addition to what others have said, it's also therapeutic. Like exploring new places, the feeling/sounds. It's not detached from the environment, like it is in the car, nor it is too loud like it is on the motorbikes. It's not too fast, nor to slow to enjoy the surroundings. And, the sound of the hubs, wheels can feel peaceful even.

In my case, my city is disgustingly depressing. But after I started riding, I realized the city had so much greenery around it. And no car or motorbike could access it. Riding down the village roads, between the trees, that you can not access by a motor vehicle, or walking, is an amazing experience. And, it does not damage the environment, nor ruins the peace with loud noise.

Here we have a program, that is used to install scripts from source that has been targeted, and breached multiple times last few months, can run arbitrary code on millions or billions of user computer, servers. And, it was ported to another programming language, resulting in 1m LOC, in 7 days for publicity stunt of a LLM company

Even multiple people can not go through 1m lines of code for any kind of vulnerability in 7 days, let alone 'observe' more segfaults, OOMS, unsafe behavior, on who knows how many possible ways things can go wrong in this new condition.

Only guaranty is 99% tests passed, and the engineer who is paid by the same LLM company.

How in the world, any sane engineer would agree, this would be remotely a good idea to continue using this tool, for a chance that such a expensive change won't actually land in production?

Self-plug, I'm working on one, local, native, no web based ui, and minimalist. And it has no external dependency. The data is stored as simple text file, and the format is easily searchable with *nix tools.

Not going to be open source or free though, with 2 year perpetual license. I wonder how much that would interest you? My target is people who wants todo.txt like simplicity, but few useful bits. Only for Linux and Windows for now.

Yes, sure they are going to use LLM to find the CVE's, and so will the hackers. You need a day or two to fix the security issue, a hacker just need to put it in use.

And good luck debugging a million line code base.
