Why not? It does not mean that we will be some omnipotent god. it just means that we wont age. You can still die from physical trauma, infections, cancer etc. So in practice this would mean that the average human lifespan is not say 70 years, but 120.
I'm pretty sure that humanity will eventually get to immortality (why not? We are already controlling most of our environment) but this will not be like an invention of a magic pill, rather the average lifespan will creep up by a decade or so with every generation.
Now we're at the point where we know whats actively killing you and what to avoid (we can also cure most infections and diseases)
in 30 years most cancers, and likely Alzheimers will be curable too. I'm also sure that lots of aging related conditions will be treatable too (say osteoporosis)
in 60 years we might know enough to start reversing aging effects, and fear of cancer will be a thing of the past, just like now bacterial infections.

IMO the main issue are zoning laws and urbanization. You can find lots of articles about rural areas, small villages elsentially dieing out, while large cities just (try) to grow larger.
Also there is a shift from people living in families to living single or just with one person which is more inefficient and requires more space.

Also their site was fill with intrusive ads, the repo browser was crap. GitHub was fast, no ads, markdown rendering and a decent repo browser.
Also the main advantage of git was local copies, so the source code was more safe. And speed SVN was slow for large repos. At my first place we had an SVN server in the server room, when it's hard drive crashed no one could work for a day :)

Its pretty hard when each thing is served in a different size container and it can have different values from the most important ingredient. This is sometimes pretty easy to figure out (e.g. juices usually have the same 2-3 sizes where I live) but sometimes its practically impossible to know whats the best value for money, e.g. paper towels -- size, number of layers, number of sheets, total length etc are all the parameters that one should consider. Just adding compute speed will not help much -- say the goal of an intelligence is to win a war. If you're tasked with it then it doesn't matter if you have a month or a decade (assume that time is.frozen while you do your research), its a too complex problem and simply cannot be solved, and the same goes for an AI.
Or it will be like with chess solvers, machines will be more intelligent than us simply because they can load much more context to solve a problem than us in their "working memory"
Art can become a craft again, not a career
The issue is that those jobs that got automated to "become a craft again" have mostly vanished, except for high-end stuff. Some examples: shoe making, artisan furniture, tailors, watchmakers. Unless you are the best of the best these are hobbies now not something you make money from.
Nowadays most people make money in bleak half-automated jobs (e.g. construction, factory workers) or in white collar jobs sitting in front of a computer in some cubicle doing some mind numbing task for a megacorp.
I'm usually hyped about technological advancement, but very bleak about AI. I think it will just bring more sublte propaganda for state actors, more subtle advertising for megacorps, the dieing of creative jobs like graphic artists or actors is just a sad sideeffect (these will still exist, but only as high end -- we will always have real AAA actors, but the days of extras on movie sets are counted -- lots of the Hollywood protests were because studios started doing contracts for noname actors that stated that the studio will regain rights of the actor's digital likeness)

While you could do that it would just give you false hope. Pubmed contains research from all areas of natural sciences, and you need to get used to the wording to know feasible the claims of an article are. Some examples:
- Usually research goes in vitro (in a petri dish) -> in animals -> in humans. An article can claim that they've found the cure for cancer, if its just in vitro it doesnt mean much. The medicine needs to go to the right place, it should not have too bad side effects,...a very small percentage of medicine that works in vitro makes it to human testing. - even if it works in humans it might not be feasible to manufacture it. We have got medicine that costs over 3 million USD per dose, obviously there is a cost when the manufacturer just scraps the project even if it works perfectly.

- Standard -- OK, lets say this the universal default. The name is a quite non-descriptive, why not call it roads? Or driving?
- CyclOSM -- Why not call it cycle map? This is some internal project name?
- Cycle map -- duplicate, why does it need 2?
- Transport map -- What kind of transport? Call it "Public Transport".
- Tracestrack Topo -- no idea what this means.
- OVPNKarte -- again no idea. Looks like another public transport map. Why does it need 2?
- Humanitarian -- Here I have really no idea. Is this for disaster relief personnel, so it displays hospitals and such?
Because you are building stuff to kill people. Even the doublespeak of naming it defence is atrocious. It might be justifiable in some cases like the current weapon shipments to Ukraine, but not if they are used in something like the Iraqi war. I'm in the same boat. For the sake of simplicity find some good brands and stick to them. Where I live its simple, get all your bulbs at IKEA. Most of them are 90 CRI and other parameters are good too. There are better ones on the market, but I dont want to go on a product hunt if my supplier is out
