Any tips or links you can share for getting your Open C to FxOS 3.0? Did you have to first upgrade the base image from JellyBean to KitKat? Were you able to shallow flash a nightly image or did you have to build everything yourself? I have an Open C and am on 2.1, but haven't yet tried to move past that. Thanks!
I remember being at a Giants game at Pacbell (now AT&T) Park back in 2001. Webvan had just gone bankrupt, yet the entire ballpark was still covered with Webvan ads, even the cup holders. Another major ballpark advertiser at the time was Enron, and that scandal was just breaking. I remember thinking that the Giants ad sales staff might have to put in a few extra hours of work that week. If and when I see a DoorDash cup holder at AT&T, that will be my canary in the coalmine telling me that the new bubble is about to pop.
I meant addons and extensions, not native code plugins. I have all plugins including flash disabled, so no, I don't consume DRM content via Youtube or any other site.
I meant addon/extension-compatible in the Firefox parlance, not plugin compatible, and have edited my comment to clarify that. At your prompting I've now read up on the details and I'm glad that users will be able to deny the Adobe download. I incorrectly assumed that would happen automatically.
Here's hoping that a viable non-Mozilla group emerges that will offer a DRM-disabled version of Firefox, one that is addon-compatible and which pulls in all non-DRM-related upstream changes. Mozilla has lost my support over this decision.
