SEEKING FREELANCER - REMOTE ONLY: App is more of a personal events tracker... Basically its an Event Recording mechanism which stores events that are happening in Ones life. Able to log those events...data, images, videos. So app should be able to manage his Data/images and videos along with different presentation styles like piecharts,slideshows (qwiki style) etc. Some one strong in Image, Video handling is required... My webapp might involve experience in some PHP framework(may be Yii), MySQL + Redis, jquery.

Its always better to invest in multiple areas. One is Angel investing (check with PG if he is willing to join you as YC partner :), one might be stocks of Google/AAPL (if I were you), Gold and some charity(increase your positive life Karma..as we call it in India)

One more thing I dont understand is why people choose names like babyli.st, sleepyti.me etc. Is it not irritating to choose name including the extension?? Best way to type these would be to type the full name, move back and put DOT ;)

As this webapp is gonna be visually rich I am expecting hackers who are strong in Image/Video handling and presentations like QWIKI,(CSS3 ) animations for Graphical representations of data. Guys, drop a mail and lets discuss..its gonna be pretty challenging :)

Whoa!! I had the same experience and I too felt that "what if some one is registering the domain we are searching for availability?" They are doing something like patent Trolling. when I wanted to register one with ".me" all names I was looking for are blocked for auction.why the hell they have to do auction, it should be FCFS.
