The main purpose of Startup Chile was to put Chile on map as one of the tech hubs and it has been certainly successful in that.

The program in itself is not as involved in the success of the startup as other accelerators because it doesn't take any equity in your startup.

It certainly has managed to attract entrepreneurs but the success will be short-lived unless it can also attract investors which it hasn't been able to do so far.

Transbank indeed. As it stands today. it takes 2-3 months to get Webpay Plus (Transbank's payment gateway) implemented on the website.

I'd love to know what are stripe's plans to launch in countries where payment gateways are regulated and one company has constitutional monopoly (looking at you, Chile).

This is awesome. Quite possibly one of the best solutions I have seen so far to manage bookmarklets.

I know UI Design and a just a little bit of backend. My sideprojects are always more about design and less about technical part, however whatever little technical part it requires, it gives me enough to learn something new.

For http://typezebra.com/ I learnt a bit of Javascript while for https://bootmystrap.com/ I learnt to design websites properly using LESS CSS.

The way I keep myself motivated to finish sideprojects is that most of the part is right up my alley, design which gives me confidence I can finish it.

If the column comes before in HTML then it will appear before as well according to the Bootstrap conventions laid out. However you are more than welcome to throw that all out and have the column to appear left, right, top, bottom wherever you want with simple CSS.

In terms of navigation, it is tied to resolution because it's easier to change code than to change devices owned by your users :)

The behavior to hide something is of course customizable. Bootstrap comes with certain classes [0] which can hide the content on mobile screens and show on desktop.

That has been my assessment as well. I once bought a theme there and ended up spending more time changing the code so the classes are similar to what Bootstrap uses.

That's why I am starting http://bootmystrap.com/ All changes in just one LESS file, using same classes as Bootstrap so if you do buy a theme it actually saves you time.

Yeah. That is my favorite as well. In fact I created my own version with sidebar at http://bootmystrap.com/ to sell.

I find that Twitter Bootstrap is probably not the best framework when you are designing single page apps but it works.

I am not sure which came first but the logo looks uncannily similar to http://sidebar.io/

Well one particular use case I know of where it could be useful is that many people who work in marketing need images for campaigns. It doesn't have to be too high resolution or anything just simple 600px wide images for facebook or twitter.

Now since marketing is run by marketers and they don't necessary know Photoshop or image editing software, they could use some simple tool which lets them drag drop images, text etc with intelligent spacing and margins.

Once they have put images, text in order they want they can get a screenshot of the canvas which they can use for campaigns. My girlfriend is a community manager with a digital agency and she would kill to have a simple tool like this. Since you already have something similar you just need to add option to export the screenshot of canvas to be used for campaigns.

I wish I could help but I am more of UI/UX designer than developer and currently working my ass off on some client projects.

I know plenty of folks who need to do image manipulation but don't want to spend time learning Photoshop and rightly so, for small image tasks.

It works only in Google Chrome. It downloads the file first and then asks you where do you want to save it.

Nice. It's far more noticeable now. Perhaps you can change the icon to a smaller one when the video is full screen, just to indicate to user he is going to make screen smaller after clicking it.

I like it's clean and simple layout. Really nice work.

A little feedback: When someone is on video page, you have this icon http://d.pr/i/eOEE to increase video size. It looks more like an "index of categories" icon. I'd change that.

Also the left vertical bar to restore default layout, you are showing once video is full size is not apparent enough. I'll experiment some other colors or maybe a small "plus" like I did here http://typezebra.com.

Yes, Flash is required to "detect" all the fonts on "your" computer.

All the fonts being displayed are installed on your computer. This app just provides a great way to view those fonts.

I didn't even notice that until you mentioned.

I was supposed to add code to change fonts with up and down keys but it was getting a bit complicated for JS noob like me so I dropped it for now.

It'll be added in next version for sure.

Just to be clear, Flash is being used to "detect" fonts on your computer.

I think any kind of "surprise" is a bad UX. The only exception is image sliders where images change randomly but then they are designed in such a way that it gives away the idea of randomly changing images.

I'll have to dig more into the code which detects fonts but I hear you.
