This rings true to myself. While I thought I changed for the better, I did, but sacrificed all the things I really enjoyed doing. Best thing I did after 15 years was find myself again. What I can’t discount is I’m a better version of myself than I was prior.

To be brutally honest, the problem sounds like a you problem.

You have a business, but no way to receive a sms. You had an empty account, you lost it? You used an email account you hardly check. Amazon isn’t this massive company because they are closing accounts with servers, that’s google cloud.

Now you spent a whole $30 when your ready again open a new account.

Your an edge case, and not doing any favors to make your life easier.

This is a great idea, Good talent isn’t up to creating big projects, but doing little jobs on the side here and there is a totally different story.

My experience with getting others todo things have been dismal and always feel like I should have just done it myself by the end of the experience.

The person posting the ad, then gets to select the price point based on experiences needed and there max budget.

$500 - vetted 5+ years experience $300 - vetted 2+ $150 - anyone

something along those lines, this gives everyone the ability to be involved and have a chance of winning the project and the poster to get what they pay for.

it does provide native widgets which can be used. If you care to look through the documentation there are images displaying the control widgets / native components

It’s good they are able to target those demographics a few years later then advertised that will have a large uptake in participation.

In the past I worked at home for 11 years, the last 12 months (funny enough) in an office - I was in a low Covid country / state - it’s peaking right now however, now back at home working. To be honest I would rather be in an office.

I guess it works both ways, over exposure to anything can cause the opposite effect.

That being said, I work a lot (but it is my company). I thought I worked a-lot at the office but being back at home it never stops - This is also down to personal traits such as having ADHD and the drive to succeed, the guilty feeling when i’m not working or achieving anything.

Maybe this is the big difference. I need that buffer zone so I don’t just continuously work every waking hour.

What i’ve seen from employees is that they are firm about working from home and I need to take into consideration these people work 7.5 hours 5 days a week and not 14-16 7 days a week, different perspectives.

The part that people overlook. Is what does your mobile first start up look like without Google or Apple providing a distribution point like the respective app stores.

While the original 30% fee is BS. 15% Is reasonable to pay to get your application out there.

I like the way that Apple has approached it where it’s capped for apps under 1M.

I’m a lot older then you but my experience was similar, I went from Windows versions upto 7 to Linux for about 5 years then to mac (Because it just works), I can’t spend my day figuring out why my Linux device didn’t boot.

Then I got a bit sick of Apple, So I tried installing Linux on my macbook. Some things didn’t work like randomly opening the laptop and nothing appears on the screen.

It was ok, but I missed critical apps like, iTerm2, Tableplus, Nice email client like Mac Mail etc. (Today might be different to when I tried this 3 years ago)

Then WSL 1 came out and I thought i’ll try windows again, purchased a surface, but the UNIX features just wasn’t compatible with what I needed.

In the end I purchased a new Macbook Pro again.

WSL 2 might change things and I might end up back on Windows one day, but I really wish I could simply just use a Linux distro as a desktop daily driver, that’s my ultimate desire.

For now I use a Mac. For two reasons, It 99% of the time just works and great app support and it’s unix subsystem.

use pin payments they can take and settle in USD just ask them and they are an AU company. similar fee structure as stripe 2.x + 30c

The cost is the killer. I can get a full featured database app such as Tableplus for less.

Otherwise this is awesome and can save a bunch of time.

Except the 2FA is kinda stupid.

I have devices logged into my iCloud account at a datacenter, that end up getting my 2FA for my other devices.

I have a iPhone, iPad, Macbook, do you think any device I actually use all the time gets the 2FA code ?

Sometimes, the same computer i’m using to login gets the code which is kinda pointless.

I have to always use SMS to get my code because of this.
