This entirely depends on your perspective/interpretation of “text-only”.
To me, having only text as the output with no ads, videos, or images is “text-only”. It doesn’t matter how it’s presented as long as it’s just text.
But I also see your perspective. You want plain defaults with white background color, black foreground color, and no formatting.

I ended up turning my TV off and watching from my phone because of the buffering/freezing. The audio would continue to play and the screen would be frozen with a loading percentage that never changed.
I have Spectrum (600 Mbps) for ISP and Verizon for mobile.

I have my own "conspiracy" theory about black holes relating to our universe. Bare with me here.
Some scientists believe in parallel universes and are unsure how they may or may not interact. Some scientists also believe in the so called "Big Bang' that began the expansion of our universe.
Since everything is made up of molecules/atoms (or matter in general) etc and all those things have a resonant frequency, what if each parallel universe operates at a different resonant frequency and our brain is only tuned to receive/understand the frequencies of our own universe? This would somewhat explain why we cannot perceive the other universes. Keep that in-mind for the below.
My theory is what if black holes are just vacuums sucking all the energy from one parallel universe into itself only to be blasted out the other side (that we cannot see) creating the "Big Bang" event to create the beginning of the next universe?
Makes you think, even if it sounds crazy.
I’ve had similar issues of not receiving emails before and it’s annoying especially if you’re trying to do password resets.
I like the idea the author is taking about although I’m not too techie with all the details.
If I tried this “reverse” approach I would do it this way,
After the user creates their account, simply generate a unique token and tell the user to simply copy the token and send it back to a specific email address controlled by me with the token as the subject line and the body is ignored.
This way the user sends the unique code from the email address they want to use so we know it’s them cause how else would they get the unique token.
Is it 100% fool-proof? No. But most things humans touch is not secured 100% anyways but I’d like to think it’s a start.

The game idea I documented about a decade ago and have yet to start on because I never pushed myself to spend the required time to learn the C programming language enough to do it.

In the end, nobody came. Nobody else cared.
From my experience just being an observer and not too much of a techie I’d say it’s one of the cons of open source products.
For example, if there’s an open source product you like to use but the maintainers are not very active, you may get aggravated and fork it and start another similar product thinking you can do it better justice. Problem is, for every new “fork” of a product you end up dividing the user base as well.
When users have too many options to choose from they usually do not compare differences when there’s too many to compare and just pick one.
Also, most of these similar products are not always backwards compatible which is one of many reasons people may not try to compare similar products.
Another way of thinking about it is the less effort someone has to input to copy something, the more “copies” you’ll have to pick from. From a users perspective it is very confusing and frustrating not knowing what to pick to use.
I see a lot of people bickering here in the comments about what's better and why, but does it really matter? I mean I don't care if you like to wear rain boots when it's sunny or flip flops when it's raining, as long as you have some footwear on.
There's many ways a webpage could be programmed/designed/developed/styled but the only thing that really matters is that it's usable and visible to the end-user. No programmer likes every other programmers code when they have to work with it and we all know there's ten different ways to solve the same problem so just let people do it the way they know how as long as you can use/view it with no major issues who cares.
What non-programming type roles exist that I could focus on?
Always interesting to see how fast things have changed in terms of how websites are designed.

I have math anxiety. I've been bad at math since I was a child. Mainly because I was hyper and had short attention span and neither of my parents were good at math, nor did we have money to get a tutor so my basic mathematical foundation has always been weak.
I'm 31 years old now with my BA in Computer Information Systems and I still don't know all of my multiplication problems from 1's to 12's, and have difficulty solving basic algebra problems.
I've always stated that I hated math, and that schools are always forcing students to learn certain types of math just to pass/graduate. Instead I think the schools should focus on math that the students can immediately start applying to their daily lives and jobs; no child working at a fast-food chain is going to even try to apply calculus to their job.
My issue is that not everyone learns or interprets the language the same. Some like myself take longer to process a problem to form a solution, but in school you're on a timed schedule so people like me struggle.
Also, some teachers only teach the way they learned and understood the language and don't really care or think that other students may learn from different ways/perspectives.
I know I can learn any type of math, I just need it explained and demonstrated to me in simple english that even a 5th grader could understand and not with college words that I need a dictionary to comprehend.
I secretly deep down want to be great at math and to learn and master, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, etc. so that I feel competent in the computer industry to solve basic and more advanced problems. But instead, I am reclusive and feel dumb and that I will never be great at any type of math discipline.
As soon as I think Minecraft is old news something like this pops up. Seems very interesting.
I wished I was smart enough to even implement half of what I just read and I am a senior getting my BA in computer information systems with my focus being networking and security :(
