You are an extremely valuable contributor to HN. Reposting your HN comments is great way to start blogging. I think you will eventually feel the urge to post original content once you see how rewarding blogging can be.

1-I would leave comments on. You never know when someone might have an extremely valuable tidbit to share.

2-up to you. 20 is as acceptable as 100.

3-Not lame

4-cool

>The adjacent possible is a kind of shadow future, hovering on the edges of the present state of things, a map of all the ways in which the present can reinvent itself.

What a beautiful thought for the entrepreneur in all of us.

I'm also new to web development (I have no where near 4 years of experience). Do you understand object oriented programming enough to explain it to a programming newbie? If not, you need to take a class. No amount of Railscasts/Peepcode vids/Rails books will teach you OOP, and yet Ruby and Rails require a working knowledge of it. I know PHP is an OOP lang, but you may not have used it that way.

I think HNers generally disagree with your statement:

This new feature GMail have announced is trivial and unimportant compared to many other features they could release.

The gmail team is not known for adding trivial or unimportant features. They probably deserve more credit than you are giving them.

Also, I'm not sure how delegation and folder sharing are related to email. Perhaps you could elaborate?

Review of Ayn Rand 16 years ago

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan details his own relationship with Ayn Rand in his book The Age of Turbulence. I don't have the book or I'd pull direct quotes. But the gist is that he had an immense respect for her and she was a meaningful influence on his life.

In short, no competition among app stores means no competition for the license terms that apply to iPhone developers.

What is impacting developers is the lack of competition between the iPhone and other mobile devices. Apple's app store is winning because iPhone is winning. This will not always be the case.

Agreed. I'm not suggesting, just posting.

Yes, what message is your company trying to send with its logo? Or, would you prefer we didn't know what Top Hat Monocle does? If so, I'm certainly curious to know your reasoning.
