Thanks! Our primary value prop is end to end management of the back office for running these events. We run close to 200 events/year and have been dogfooding it internally for the past year with our team and it's solved a number of critical issues for us. The bonus is the vendor discovery piece - we currently have a network in NJ/NY/PA of close to 10K vendors (farmers, makers, food purveyors) who work with us so it was an easy way to seed 50% of the marketplace with customers.

I agree - A family plan would be a no-brainer - my kids love playing with the free tier on ChatGPT but always seem to hit their daily rate limit right in the middle of doing something important.

Check out the Bigger Pockets Real Estate Podcast- imho- it’s one of the best produced podcasts out there and worth listening to even if you have minimal interest in real estate investing.

They are also publishers and their books are great primers depending on where in RE you’re looking learn.

Two comments on this point

1) I did preface that this is a loose framework that I run with and it's not set in stone - if I need more sleep on a particular day, I take it.

2) While all human bodies vary with their sleep needs, I find that I function best between 6 and 7 hours per night. While I can run on less at times, I do need to catch up. I find myself less focused when I start approaching the 8 hour mark.

I bought the Macbook Pro retina back over the summer and was a little upset when a small dead pixel cluster appeared on the display after about a month of use.

I brought it back to the apple store (i did not purchase applecare). I was told that this was happening in about 1 our of every 40 MBP retinas and they happily replaced the display in less than 24 hours.

I'm not implying that my situation is "unique/new/ particularly note-worthy" but it is just as antidotal as yours and ended with a positive outcome.

I completely agree. It's painful to develop in and painful to use from a client perspective. I used it for some client projects a few years back and ended up just migrating them to spree after getting tired of client calls every time they attempted to update a product listing.

I just tried the following route - EWR->DES->SFO on 6/10 and returning on 6/18 via the same route back. The price each way was ~$420 (which included 2 layovers).

I priced out EWR->SFO and United/Continental had a direct flight for $369. Maybe I'm the aberration but I think NYT should have done a few more case studies before publishing their results.

I'm confused by the statement that "only one company came out of rails rumble". I freelance for a startup that has a profitable SaaS app that was born at rails rumble 2007.

still looking for an "official" statement but i believe that the thunderbolt port may be backwards compatible with minidisplay. i would assume apple would change it's form if it were not, as to prevent users from accidentally plugging in incompatible devices.

i don't have the source in front of me at the moment - it was on HN a week or so back - but there were parts orders in china that indicate apple is planning to launch a dual band CDMA/GSM version of iPhone 5...

I'm implementing a similar solution. My only concern is that the ssl handshake takes an anywhere been 600 and 1000ms - far too long as far as I'm concerning. does anyone have a suggestion to improve this?

My setup 1) Linode $20/mo REE box (will bump up in production) 2) Nginx 3) RoR 3.0.3 4) SSL Through Geotrust. It is a "chained" cert but i don't believe this is the bottleneck.

if thats the case i think he's misrepresenting himself with statements like

"the most powerful, most secure web framework available today" and "The best Web Framework".

Just out of curiosity can you highlight the advantages lift has over other modern frameworks such as rails or django (and maybe some of the php frameworks). Most (or all) of the 7 things ship with rails 3. Stacking them up against one another might yield a better comparison.

Tech zing is probably one of the best podcasts currently out there. It's a staple in our coworking space.

thanks for posting this - it works great. just to summarize- here's what you want to check if you're password has been compromised:

1) fire up terminal on your local macbook and enter the above string subbing in your password

2) open the spreadsheet and set the filters to domain - enter your domain name(s) and hit submit

3) If any results are returned then compare the MD5 hash in the result set with the MD5 hash returned from step #. if they're the same, start changing your passwords.
