Erythritol tetranitrate (ETN) - - cousin of PETN, for which the detonation velocity of ETN is just above 8,000 meters per second - - while PETN det vel is about 8,300 meters per second plus, which is in the top 90% of highest velocity detonation velocities available from high explosives.

ETN is about 3 times more sensitive than PETN and is more sensitive to friction than the former mentioned compound. The decomposition of ETN is oxygen positive: C4H6N4O12 → 4 CO2 + 3 H2O + N2 + 3/2 O.

Why would any professional mess around with something that is 3x more sensitive than PETN ? Easier synthesis perhaps, but life changing or ending, if it detonates accidentally

PETN is the preferred explosive in the widely used "det cord", likely for a good reason, at 3x less sensitive.

Correction:

How about 40 percent oxygen and 60 percent nitrogen? (Note: This is real stuff, >it's called Nitrox.)

As a nitrox certified diver I can offer that most common nitrox mixes do not exceed 34% oxygen and often are 32% oxygen. For safety, a diver with 32% oxygen is typically limited to about 112 feet water depth, before potential oxygen toxicity sets in to the nervous system.

For safety a diver with 36% oxygen is limited to about 95 feet water depth.

A large majority of underwater reefs around the world are above these maximum nitrox depths.

Furthermore, nitrox is quite popular, especially among older divers as many seem to agree they have more energy near the end of a 2 tank or multiple tank dive day.

Using plain air and 2 tanks or more dives per day, it's been common to come back to the hotel and fall asleep to get a rest (or similar on liveaboards).

But using nitrox on all dives it's common for even the older crowd to have enough energy to be ready to go downtown to the bars and have some drinks after a day of diving.

City of Austin should require a fully "paid up in advance" insurance fund to completely protect all buyers (and sellers to buyers no matter how many times in future) for the full current value of the purchase price - - against cracks in slab, walls, structural failure, etc.

Kyshtym Disaster 5 years ago

I have Ukrainian relatives who survived Chernobyl. They are physics professors, who to this day - - are very nervous of anything emitting radioactivity.

They even refused to view a small alpha particle device I bought from United nuclear that had only a tiny piece of uranium ore from Canada inside it (virtually all alpha particles emitted)

Indeed, however Oxalobacter formigenes is not widely present in all human biomes, even those without antibiotic therapy.

I have attempted to garner the interest of major enzyme corporation (Novozymes, for example) in mass producing the oxalate degrading enzyme through fermentation, but no response.

From Lab Escaped Covid to Now Carbon: China Emits More Carbon in 2 Weeks Than Australia Does in One Year

Electric cars still require rubber tires, most of which are made from fossil/petro resources.

Electric cars still require roads to drive on, many of which are asphault, which contains cancer causing aromatics, and is the lowest, heaviest product in a refinery crack tower.

Many lubricants which are derived from fossil/petro are used in electric car transmissions, etc.

Electric cars have no less fossil/petro derived plastic and polymers than conventional cars.

Just tried to download and install handshake. Requires docker. Just tried to download and install docker on windows 7, failed install, requires more stuff.

Opinion: This will never become a realization until these people realize the average Joe is not going to jump through all these hoops just to get an alternative browser up and running. It should be simple and seamless. Less than 1% will bother with all this.

Dr. Pierre Kory represents a group of well published, highly regarded American physicians presenting new studies and research which they claim conclusively proves that ivermectin has been found to be the closest thing we have to a miracle drug for covid19 (both prophylaxis and treatment). Ivermectin is an well established, inexpensive existing drug with over 3 billion pills taken worldwide in past decades, very low side effects.

Does anyone really believe that the principals of these pirate suites freely give out their real phone no's, addresses, and anything else useful ? They know from the start that the authorities will be using the legal system to obtain this information (which is typically all false information anyway).

and if they hail from Russia no Western legal process applies in Russia, Russian courts don't respect any Western demands, in fact, Western lawyers who dare to show up in Russia would likely be beaten or killed, so they could hire local counsel, but the criminals can hire hitmen to take out local counsel cheaper than they can hire defense lawyers.

That says something about the legal trade: when guys can hire hitmen cheaper than you can hire a lawyer (and typically with more certain results)
