The use of ANN was completely unnecessary, as there are only 3 characters in the crossword puzzle. I wanted to try out the OpenCV ANN implementation though and since it's not a real world application it doesn't really matter.

Isn't Go inherently bad for any embedded system because of its stop-the-world garbage collector? Or is that not a big deal in robotics?

The project aims to refactor vim's codebase to simplify development and allow new developers to join in by removing old, deprecated code. It doesn't say it is supposed to be 1:1 replacement only with newer code, and from what I've read on both their GitHub issues page and Hacker News, 99% of Vim users actually don't use Ex-mode. There is simply no point spending time and resources to keep in in the tree for the 1% of people actually using it. And even if ex-mode is something some people can't live without, there is still good ol' Vim.

Last Opera release for linux was 12.16. That's about 12 skipped updates (I just assume, I'm not familiar with the actual opera versioning) and that's unacceptable. What guarantee does Opera give me that this won't happen again and I won't be stuck with outdated browser for a year?
