Moving a highly regulated industry away from paper records is challenging, but our platform provides a robust solution to this problem with friendly UI and is powered by modern technologies.

We’re currently looking for developers (front end, back end and full stack), UI/UX designers and analyst graduate roles, but we’re keen to hear from anyone who thinks they have something to offer even if we’re not specifically targeting the role you fill. Seems pretty major. I'm currently stuck on a flight that can't depart as they can't get any flight plans etc. Also BA's main website is down.

Agreed. To me all the demos of the touch bar looked awkward and could've been replaced with far better functionality using a touchscreen.

It depends what you want to do. If you want to access many chat apps a framework will make your life easier and provide some features such as analytics but at the expense of latency and inability to access any features specific to a particular chat application.

Wit.ai, API.ai etc. are separate services to which you forward your chat responses and they send back a response based NLP training etc.

If you're just doing a prototype, I would limit it to one chat app (eg. FB messenger) and interact directly with their webhook. You can also then add NLP through api.ai etc.

There's a cultural difference among traditional automakers in which new innovations are withheld from being released as they are not required to maintain a competitive position. This is very different from the attitude in the Valley/startups in which there appears to be a genuine desire to advance innovation of mankind.

To a certain extent, this comes from historically creating safety-critical software which is an entirely different process compared to what is done for web apps etc. I don't think Tesla are as robust with their development processes, but they are able to make up for it with over-the-air updates.

Wow, this is something I've been thinking about recently. Would be very interested in seeing how this progresses.

Most EV batteries have a total capacity greater than the usable capacity as some is reserved for degradation - this means you shouldn't experience much (if any) capacity loss until 10years+ of usage. The one to look out for is the P90D which will likely suffer increased degradation in Ludicrous mode.

Range is not solely due to the battery pack; weight, frontal area and drag have a big impact.

Nonetheless $20k is high for a 200 mile pack even today. It should be around half the cost.

I wouldn't say it's anything revolutionary, but more just rewording of classic strategy. In short it's 'differentiate and don't compete with existing products in existing markets'.

This was inevitable given Tesla calling the system an 'Autopilot', when in fact the driver must have their hands on the wheel and monitoring full time.

Too much weight is put on ideas and this is what internal startups focus on. In most cases, either current employees or new contractors are brought in to run the startup. This is doomed to fail as those executing have no incentive or investment in the idea or it's success.
