Anthropic is losing bigtime against Open AI in coding space. I was using Claude code upto last march. Not an enterprise customer, but a responsible AI user where i don't over spend and use basic plan to manage repository with 400Kloc all together. We sell to local government and a team of 3. Claude code was super slow, never able to fix issues properly.(Despite with proper test cases, observability, documentation and layered architecture). After moving to codex, life has been much easy and free form usage anxiety. Now managing entire things with 2 codex plus account per team member. Its high time anthropic should stop scare mongering and build efficient models. Everyone doesn't need Fable. People need models that solve problems efficiently.

Created an LLP, We spend around 30k INR, that is roughly 300USD.

Biggest feature is dns loadbalancing.

Sarvam is exceptionally tuned for indic languages we have more than 20 languages and it perform well for all in ocr. Iam yet to test with other languages. No any models come close for indic languages like sarvam. I saw they recently dropped price per page to 0.5 inr which is much cheaper. The only downside is the zip file based delivery.

Tested with Malayalam, normal handwriting got accurate but a slight different style got detected as kannada. Have samples if required, which sarvam got done with 99% accuracy leaving one text error.

It will be so much fun to be in such groups.

Hardware has become insanely fast, while software has become absurdly inefficient. During the Windows XP era, I use to browse the internet even on dial-up connections, use Yahoo Messenger, and run everything on a desktop with just 512 MB of RAM and a 40 GB hard disk, everything worked, but today basic use on Windows often need a minimum 8gb ram. I wish I could go back.

Excatly and even more they are stripped version. Export version is always inferior.

Every F35 is exported with a killswitch. and you think this is a silly decision? its not silly, its gatekeeping, iam sure this will get much strict in future, where even developing a frontier model can get sanctions from US. IMO Every country need AI sovereignty and its right time to form a group or consortium of nations to fund and build an equally capable frontier model that is accessible to all others. AI should not be confined to certain nations, the way nuclear capabilities are restricted.

I feel with current government decision to block Fable, this is not a mere opensource issue, considering how US government restrict frontier models, what we need is sovereignty for every country. If not they will release every model with a kill switch in future like F35.

its not too late for Europe. if China can try, iam sure Europe can also. If not iam sure one day it will be like How Lockheed martin restricts F35 with a kill switch.

This should be a lesson for other countries to invest in building frontier models, so that they dont depend on the mercy of one country.

We are only talking about saas. every saas have access to your data at disc or storage level.
