If Openai can win the developer market with cheap api access and a better product, then distribution becomes through third parties with everyone else becoming the product sending training data back to the model. I'd see that as their current strategy.
I love everything about this idea. If any of you remember mybloglog which was acquired by yahoo back in the day, they had all the ingredients that were missing from the web back when the cool kids were calling in web2.0. I met and interacted with so many blog writers who were able to see me land on their website and followed my profile back to mine, opening up a whole new social experience for those who created on the web. I hope this service moves in that direction over time, providing an escape from the walled Gardens of social media today and bringing it back to the open web where it belongs. Why Google or others haven't decided to ship a similar service right in Chrome is beyond me .. instead of a me too offering that was Google Plus.. the open web itself is where those social interactions and connections to me make most sense.
If people started using the word 'false' instead of disinformation I think the distinction would be clearer.
We aren't talking about good results versus bad results here surely? When did bias come into it? Merely falsehoods versus truths? Or have we got to the point where no one actually believes in such anymore and it depends on your political opinion on whether something is true or false?

Completely agree. I wonder what it is about programming something from nothing that still makes people think it isn't a creative pursuit. The Venn diagram of writers, painters, guitarists and programmers needs to be more heavily advertised to get past this stigma of engineer meaning some boring old fart typing mindless code at a keyboard.
Remember when you used to discover blogs like this ALL the time? Now you come across it because it's so uncommon. Like that site with the shoelaces that shows up here occasionally, the thing that is interesting is the author's dedication and passion to their craft, and indeed, that said passion is still actively updated.
